Congrats to the knights on the win, and congrats to the Colonels on one exciting season, sorry it had to end so soon. I wish I could have been there.

I was playing too. It was a very even game and I knew that you all deserved to win although I would have liked our side to have won. The db was Adam Spaulding, who went on to play for Thomas More, although I don't know if he's still playing there now, I heard that school just wasn't his cup of tea. He is a great guy and a great player, anyone who meets him can't say enough good things about him.

Well lets take it one game at a time before we talk about winning it all. I don't think anyone on here will be surprised if they win tonight, but I don't think anyone will be surprised if they lose either. That being said I hope my Colonels win! :ylsuper:

In Kentucky high school football, if the ball is fumbled say at the 6 yard line or even the 1 and is recovered by another offensive player in the endzone, it is a touchdown. I would imagine it would be the same if the team would be going for a 2 pt. conversion.

Well I couldn't find the regular season scores anywhere, but here are the post-season scores according to khsaa.org which only go through 95. By the seeding is infered who one in the regular season. 97 (Highlands won regular) HHS 35 CCH 41 96 (Highlands won regular) Did not meet 95 (CCH won regular) HHS 3 CCH 0

Ummmm.... it is possible that they did peak to early, but that can be remedied. I don't know if they have or not (my guess is they haven't), I've only been able to watch them once this season. Teams playing tough scheduals sometimes do peak to early. Take the 99 Cov cath team, they beat Louisville St. X who was ranked nationally and they're season was downhill from there. And the Beechies are playing LCA if I'm not mistaken, and CCH is playing Lex Cath. Fritz I hope you're right.

Every time we have beaten them, we've scored more than 30, so maybe we do need to score that much. If cov cath's offense shows up to play, I think they'll win this.

As far as beating st. x that year, we peaked way to early. I remeber the coaches pushing you all so hard especially during 2adays so that we would be more than ready for them. That is why we had so much trouble the rest of the year: because we peaked the first week of the season.

I'm not denying that had you not gotten hurt, you would have made a difference. Moving you to reciever would have given us more options in the air, you and dietz would have been a scary combination. I think we both know you would have been good or better. You're right in this would losened up the ground game a little, but no matter how good, 1 man can't make up for 6 or 7 guys, and in my mind we still couldn't have change the outcome of 41-7 or whatever it was to a win.

As much as it pains me to say it, Dixie should have beaten us in 99. Even if you hadn't gotten in the wreck after Beechwood, they stopped the running game and trapted us in the box and we couldn't get out. I do believe we won in 01, its just that we haven't since.

I would say Highlands for Cov Cath, but personally I'd like to beat Rockcastle bad, just once
