What's your real beef. Duke beat a tremendous Baylor team in a true road game. Your favorite team is UK and most fans whined about their draw, yet they played cupcakes, they finally played a truly solid team, and the game was completely one sided. Duke man handled that team. I don't understand your point. Do you think UK would've walked into the Final Four in that region, then lost to Duke?

Unless he starts out next season gang buster, which he didn't this past one.

The statistics dispute your post. They aren't biased towards what the eye sees either. Look at those RPI figures. What were the comparisons of all the other elite 8 teams? Baylor was as good as anyone. Now Cal, or Purdue, maybe not. Duke also happened to play two road games in the tourney, that's no joke either.

They were a freshman and sophomore respectively. I look for both to stay all four, and be very solid. Keep in mind, with great guard play, Duke doesn't need them to be great, just effective, ie...Lance Thomas, Brian Zoubek.

I want to visit this, in that I don't really care what the seedings were, let's look at the RPI's of the teams they beat Ark Pine Bluff - 183 California - 20 Purdue - 16 Baylor - 9 (ROAD GAME) WVU - 4 Butler - 12 (ROAD GAME) That's a pretty slick list, if you ask me...

You know what? I do really like this point. There is no debating. It is over, and it can't be voted any other way....pretty cool...hint, hint. Football.

Thus, we have reached my opinion on this. Go back and watch, there is no eye contact or communication, IMO, between player and coach. That place was crazy loud, so a lot of people would've heard something. I think Zoubek, took the reigns in his hands, and tried to insure victory, and it could've cost them the title. Coach Krzyzewski would never throw one of his players under the bus.

Better to be the worst National Champ, than not, IMO.

More than anything I am most proud that this Duke team, one that had been ridiculed for not being able to win road games, won a regional final, and the utmost, a national championship in virtual road games. The latter being the most one sided I have ever seen a tournament game being. This was a very gritty bunch, and I simply couldn't be more proud to be a Duke fan!!! Move over Adolph, you have company.
