I am not a regular Rush listener, but if I had voted for Hillary I would not have admitted it to exit pollsters. In fact, if I had voted in the Democratic primary I would have worn a disguise.
Aw, shucks! I was looking forward to taking you with me to the Democratic polling place in May!
-
It's starting to look like Obama's only win tonight might be the People's Republic of Vermont. Maybe a little buyer's remorse is setting in on Democrats. If Clinton's leads hold up, it will be interesting to hear Rush take credit for her wins tomorrow.
I still think Obama is one more big state win away from sealing the nomination.
Also, a report earlier said that exit polling of Republicans/Independents that voted in the Democrat primary actually chose Obama over Clinton! Rush will take credit...but he probably shouldn't!

Hillary has won Ohio.
It seemed like it took a while to project that. I know the urban areas weren't in earlier, but she held a commanding lead all night in Ohio.

Muhlenberg South (14-14) wins on the road at Meade County (20-8) to open the regional tournament. This is somewhat an upset. Any third region fans that can help us out?
-
A guy on CNN said that even if Clinton won every state by more than 10% (certainly a stretch for any candidate), she still wouldn't have enough delegates. It looks to me like she's one lost "big state" (Texas and Pennsylvania, and then Kentucky, Indiana, North Carolina) away from basically being eliminated.
-
gchs, do you have the past winners for the 50th district as well? Where did you get the past winners? I have been looking for days.
I don't have district winners, although that is my ultimate goal! The regional winners come from the state tournament program.
-
I was hoping the Wolfpack would pull this one out.
Has anyone noticed that North Carolina State has been the exact same team for the last 20 years? They always have top recruits, yet always manage to go 18-12 and choke away winnable games that cost them tournament berths.

Great person, right traits off the field, molds young men to be successful, moral vaules, great role model, what we need in our schools more than anything else in today's society......yada yada yada. If Scenters doesn't win and win big withing the next 3-4 years the same vultures that wanted Stonbraker gone will swoop in and eat him alive too.
Goodluck to Coach Scenters!
Ouch:sssh:

I think their desire to play everyday was probably harmful to both their teams at times during the long run. Ripken likely would have been a better performer had he occasionally took the night off. There were some down years in Green Bay that the club might have been better in the long run had he took a couple nights off.

A short write-up from the Advocate-Messenger...

To answer my own question, Mercer County was 15-18 in 2000.
I thought they were 15-16?

I wouldn't doubt that half the passengers on that plane will never get on another one again.
NBC News reported last night that the airline is offering mental trauma counselors for anyone who was on the plane.
-
There is a realistic chance that the winner of this game could win the region (definitely Hazard, maybe Cordia)...should be a war.

I was thinking about this recently and was curious if anyone had a rundown of what teams were in what district way back when (pre-1980 or so). I think it would be interesting to see who was with who and how many teams were in each district.
Post what you know.

I thinik that this is something, considering how everyone on here had their had named the coach a long time ago, and here we have someone that I don't think was even mentioned in any threads (I could be wrong and correct me if I am.)
Point being, you never know who is going to be hired until the actually announcement.
I think his name was floating around a bit, but your point is well taken. You just never know!

How old is Coach Scenters? Where is he originally from? Where did he play college football?
Everything previously mentioned makes him sound like a good choice for the Garrard program. I'm just looking for some biographical information.
-
Is there potential for him leaving? He hit the 500 win mark earlier in the year and potentially has a regional finalist this year. Interesting.
-
Nobody has mentioned Daniel Day-Lewis. He might be the best actor of this generation. His range is unbelievable.
-
I've heard rumors of taking his game to Mouth of Wilson U. However, if he does go the Oak Hill route, wouldn't that signal to UK that he isn't going to Lexington? I mean, if you accept a scholly to UK before your senior year, why go to Oak Hill?
Why not? I would think Gillispie (or any coach) would want a player to play better competition, especially if they play in a less-than-stellar region. Going to Oak Hill wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing in that situation.

Evansville on Wednesday, then Purdue in for 3 this weekend.
Purdue is actually a four game set, Friday-Monday.
Also, the Sunday game with Purdue is now a 3pm start, pushed back from 1pm.
-
Can anyone give a more detailed background of Coach Scenters?
-
What about Phelps? I know they are 20-6, but have played several games against West Virginia competition. Is this team pretty solid?
-
A #52 RPI gets them not only in, but a #9 seed?
#52 can probably get them in. Something to think about: Stanford was #65 last year and received an 11 seed (they lost to Louisville).
Democratic race right now.

On the issue of total delegates, CNN is showing Obama with 90 more than Clinton right now. So realistically he will still leave tonight with a lead in delegates.
