Having been around the program since Crume was HC, then Hawk, and now Edge; I’ve been saying the Covid year in 2020 set Edge back by at least two years. His first year being 2020, he never got an opportunity to really put his system in play. Then they had the 5th year kids from the supplemental season stick around when an argument could be made that he would have been better served had they graduated. A few parents having unrealistic expectations for their kids and taking them across town to other programs later and he’s finally getting an opportunity to dig out of the hole. I am enjoying watching Johnson improve with every game. I think we have a legit shot against Graves this week. Madisonville and Marshall are certainly vulnerable l, as is DC. We may not win out the rest of the season, but finishing on an upswing is certainly possible.

Actually 4: drugs are bad for you.

That whole area is so rural without adequate healthcare facilities. People have to travel to Evansville, Nashville, or Memphis just to get true trauma care. Best wishes to all involved.

Eagles roll in this one that got extremely chippy. Apollo Freshman QB Max Johnson continues to improve with each game. Eagles need to clean up the penalties as they had, I believe, 2 touchdowns called back on flags.

Knew this would be a rough game, but feel like my eagles looked more put together this week than in the first 3 games. Freshman QB had some nice plays under pressure on 3rd downs. I missed almost all of the second quarter dealing with a medical issue, but the rest of the game, I feel like we had fewer penalties than games past. Not world-beating stuff, but steps in the right direction.
