  1. I'm curious on John Hardin who has been 4A. Their total enrollment has been below 750 students for the past 3 years which is lower than Elizabethtown at 3A. I don't know what the cutoff is but I'd say JH will be moving to 3A. If so I would think that would move them to a district with Elizabethtown. I could see a district with Etown, John Hardin, Larue and Hart Co. maybe. Then the 3 Nelson Co schools, Bardstown, TN and Nelson in a district with maybe a Mercer Co.
  2. I thought Bardstown might win this game but certainly didn’t anticipate this score. Bardstown has impressed me with what they’ve done especially with Greenwell out and the QB being out and only back a couple weeks ago. This may be Bardstowns year. They have the pieces to contend with CAL
  3. Ashland has no chance in this game. And that’s not a knock on them. I’ve witnessed both teams and it’s not close. CAL gets a running clock in this one although it may be late 3rd or early 4th qtr
  4. The complete lack of a passing game by CH is honestly astonishing. Been in 3rd and long all night. I think their only 1st down was on the fake punt
  5. 26-7 CAL at the half. Etown didn’t help themselves with 2 mins left in the half down 20-7, Etown decides to throw on 1st & 2nd down which resulted in the clock stopping on incomplete passes. Then fumbled on 3rd leading to CALs last score. Had to play perfect to have a shot. Played well in the 1st qtr. Wheels fell off a little in the 2nd. Etown gets the ball to start the 2nd half. They need a solid scoring drive to keep things competitive
  6. Panthers put a nice drive together aided by a couple of penalties. 7-6 Etown
  7. Etown forces a fumble then goes 3 and out. Cal honestly has one of the worst turf fields in the state. Like playing in a parking lot
  8. Beautiful night for HS football. 15 mins till kickoff. CAL has an immediate advantage as their visitors locker room is a half mile away from the field!
  9. Which SW team shows up? To be honest, I don't know. SW has had multiple games this year where they rack up 400-500 yds of offense but somehow only come away with 21 pts or less. Red zone offense as been underwhelming to say the least. Obviously this isn't the SW defense of the past and they get gashed for big plays A LOT. All that being said, this is a Rivalry game and one that I think is always difficult to predict even in years where it seems like one team is better than the other. I'm taking BG at home 28-17
  10. Etown will need to start fast and play their best game of the season while needing CAL to be off their game a little. Not comparing Mercer to CAL in any way but the Panthers played their most complete game this past friday. Even with turnovers in the red zone on their first 2 possessions they kept their composure and started rolling. I'm not sure CAL has any OL/DL that have to play both ways while Etown has most of their starters playing on both sides. This will be a huge advantage for CAL especially since they will already have the size advantage on the LOS. Panthers will need to catch some breaks to make this one competitive.
  11. What's the status of Clark and Greenwell? Not sure it matters this week but it certainly will going forward.
  12. Panthers get a stop after Mercer drives down to the 12. After a holding penalty, Durbin takes it 94 yds to the house. 42-13 Panthers. 5:29 left
  13. Panthers get an INT in the endzone the Jujuan Williams goes 80 yds on a screen. 35-13 Panthers. 5:51 left in the 3rd
