  1. Excellent points! Goes to show that this rivalry has been very competitive for a long, long time. From 2007-2015, the series was 9-7 in favor of Lexington Catholic with an average margin of victory of 9 points. Remove two outliers (a 32 point Boyle County win in 2010 and a 29 point Lexington Catholic victory in 2007) and the series was 8-6 in favor of LC with an average margin of victory of 6 points. One of these teams played in the semifinals or finals every single season. Here's hoping that the newest installation of this great game brings all of the excitement of years past. Best of luck to both teams!
  2. From 1991 (Lexington Catholic's first season playing football) until 2016, this was one of the premier rivalries in Central Kentucky, if not statewide. Particularly from 2007 (first season as district rivals) until 2016.
  3. Hearing a former private school head coach in Kentucky and Ohio is in the mix.
