That's the problem to me. Everyone is chasing "Boyle County" instead of fixing the problems and worrying about themselves. Whoever gets Garrard needs to worry about building up Garrard and not chasing Boyle.

I would expect to have a better idea of legitimate candidates this week. I think a few names we've talked about will be marked off quickly.

I don't think it's him. But I do agree he's a great young coach. I think there's a few coaches in this area who have that type of potential.

The job is posted until December 13th, unless it's changed. I wouldn't imagine them announcing anything before then..

IF it's Crutchfield and he's bringing Hester, that's two great hires. If Crutchfield can bring any of his current staff with him, watch out. They've changed the Lincoln program, full confidence they could change Garrard. Things are heating up!

Keeping you on your toes! Yes, the resume you listed above is top of the line, as is the person who holds it. I don't think he's interested, would be great if he was!

Jaggers isn't a home-run hire IMO. I respect Josh and he's done fine at Larue, but nothing spectacular. I don't think his offense would excite too many fans right now either. Clevenger is a good hire, but I think he'll end back up at Danville (coaching or administration) soon.

I agree with this completely. Some of the names mentioned are good hires, but I think Garrard needs to make the home-run hire. They need somebody willing to hang around for a while and build the program back up. They have arguably one of the best athletes in the surrounding 10 counties PLUS other young talent. It's an attractive job, or it should be. If somebody has been the coach and left, that's not the hire they need IMO.

If HCs in the area or former HCs aren't applying, that means their own assistants will be. This could get interesting..

Nobody has been offered the job, or if they have, it's not public information yet. I would assume Scenters, Crutchfield, Stonebreaker all get calls this week. I love Coach Hester but I don't see him coming back, especially leaving Centre.

Assuming the job is posted tomorrow (assuming) I think we will know if Scenters, Clevenger, Crutchfield and Jaggers are legitimate candidates or just a wish list. Once people starting applying and the interviews begin, word gets out. I think the 1st 3 listed are more likely than the 4th, for what it's worth.

I don't see Clevenger as a true candidate. Same with Josh Jaggers. Did somebody say Stonebreaker earlier? That would be very interesting.

I agree with you. Going on 2 weeks and no job posting isn't very traditional. I don't know anyone at Garrard but by the sounds of it, a in house hire doesn't look likely either. They may be waiting until after the holiday to get going! But I agree they need to get moving.

I still find it hard to believe that there won't be any type of conversations/interest with Crutchfield. He and his guys have completely turned around Lincolns program from the dumps. I don't have any connections to Lancaster but I have to assume they were or are interested in him. Also the same with Scenters. He won the schools only region championship right? Those two surely got a call.

Does this mean they had a list of candidates already? Potentially even developing that list during the season? I think everyone hit the nail with Clevenger, Crutchfield, Scenters. If none of those work out, where do they go? Just oddly quiet.

Is the job even posted yet? Seems like they may already know who they want. Weird this job is so quiet considering the uproar that happened when Coach Perry was let go.
