    @859Radio I 2nd that choice!

Safe travels, hope to see you in the Fort the following week especially if the Jags win!

Thank you so much @FrankNicodemus for the kind words as always!  There's only one thing I would love more than broadcasting HHS and Cooper and that would be seeing my daughter get married, which is what we are doing next weekend!  So this is it for me for this football season.  I'm honored that this game is our 300th on (859) Sports Radio in 4 1/2 years.  Hard to believe!  Thanks go great fans like you we've made it to 300.

I really have to say that I am a nervous wreck about this one and could not even finish my desert at MARBL last night! The Dixie Colonels are on a mission to ruin my beautiful Bluebird Season. It does not seem fair that we earn the 1 seed and that our reward is to face the District 6 Coach of the Year and those feisty Colonels! Our waiter was a former DC Colonel class of '96 and was boasting about the Dixie Colonel statistical dominance this season. I really had no clue how dominant Dixie has been this season and I hope that our Birds can escape Friday night with the win. I could not finish my Doppio Espresso and will be a nervous wreck all week!

I love Dixie and Coach Burke has done an incredible job with them and they are right there!  But if you're referring to the stats on the KHSAA, the are not accurate for team stats.  It shows rushing yards allowed at 375 and HHS had 421 alone.

Hate to say I agree with Madden but this game should get the game of the week. I believe they’ve already been to Ryle so  probably the reason they aren’t covering this one.

Really think Dixie at Cooper is the better game and we haven’t seen Dixie yet so that’s why.  And Dixie intrigues the heck out of me taking both Beechwood and Cch to the brink.  That tells me a lot.  Met Armani Gregg at the cch and Dixie freshman game last night.  Can’t wait to see him.  Isaiah Johnson leads the state in receiving.  Should be a shootout.

In the words of the late Dennis Green, “The Lloyd Juggernauts are who I thought they were!”

They are clearly improved from a couple years ago, but not quite ready for primetime.

I grade them an incomplete with Yuri Collins Comer going out in the first quarter with the sprained ankle.  He's the top weapon and you can't be one trick pony running the QB every play.  LexCath is too good.  So with Caleb Evans playing soon I would think and when Comer comes back we will then see if they are who we thought they were.   So two devastating was the fumble at the end of the half and the slip at the 5 on the opening kickoff to Lloyd.  Ballgame.

Not normally, usually only when @859Radio radio is doing it but I am sure we will have some updates.

I hate taking weeks off, but a very important wedding to attend to that night, so (859) Radio has the night off.   But weather permitting, doing 8th Grade LexCath at Union Raiders for my color men Kevin and Travis Connor who coach the Raiders, wednesday 9/27 at 8:30.

Centurions And Raiders Compete For Bounce Back Win In Union

    Records: CAL (3-1) | Ryle (2-2)

    BGP Rankings: CAL (#1 in 3A) | Ryle (#9 in 6A)

Week 4 Results: CAL lost to LCA 12-14 | Ryle lost to Highlands 20-52

    Series History: First ever meeting

QB Spotlight: You can be reasonably certain a Verax will lead Ryle onto the field. The question is, which one? Senior and three year starter Logan exited the loss to Highlands with an injury and was relieved by younger brother Nathan, a sophomore. With a top ranked team rolling into town, you want your veteran leader taking the snaps, but the younger Verax had his moments against the Bluebirds. As for who directs CAL's offensive symphony, the crystal ball is much more clear. Mr. Football candidate Cole Hodge is putting together another stellar season. Though the Centurions fell to LCA last week, Hodge outperformed Cutter Boley. Few players in the state command the field as he does. He seldom makes the wrong read and delivers the ball with authority and precision. And when called upon, his legs are a game changing weapon. The holes Highlands punched in the Ryle defense need to be patched before Hodge hits the turf in Union.

Great preview!  If you can't make it to Union, this is the (859) Sports Radio game of the week.  Logan Verax is a tough kid, if anyone can get ready to play it's him.

Looking forward to watching this one via 859sports.com. I have a question that just popped into my head. IF this game is tight just like the CovCAth game, does the Highlands OC put Litmer in the same situation on the 1st and 10 from the 12 instead of staying with Benke? I only ask because Litmer put up some big numbers against Campbell Co and may have given the OC even more confidence in his abilities.

Appreciate that!!  But it's 859SportsRadio.com ha  Email us!  @theguruloves that! lol

  8. I broadcasted about 750 games/events in 14 years at CCH.  Approaching 300 very soon in 4 1/2 years on (859).  And I have the best staff anyone could ever ask for.  Kevin and Travis Conner on color, Bill Bartlett on camera.  Hoops Jason Elfers, Dave Hartmann, Nell Fookes, Doug Schloemer, Bert Richie, Greg Spencer.  Volleyball Becky Tenkmann Mirrick and Shawn Schwartz.  Students graduated on camera Zoe Collins and Anna Gregory.  We're nothing without these people.

Please keep us updated.  There is nothing worse than scrambling around at 705pm on a Friday night trying to find a link, lol.

Don't think that's been an issue with us, but I certainly get it.  I have games inadvertently ended and had to put a different game on the site, which is why I don't publish individual links to games as they could last minute change and added as a new Meridix link.  The 859SportsRadio.com site is always the one stop shop place to go.  Some have also been confused by our name "Radio", since we more often than not do video.  To explain and a little back story, when we started in February of 2019 we didn't do video, but audio only.  Coming of 14  years at CovCath as CovCath Radio, I had radio on the brain.  A couple of years later, we could do video, but it took a ton of hotspot data, and paying for this myself, I stuck with audio only.  NCC put out the call for someone to broadcast the Beechwood game with video and we volunteered.  I said we could do it, but I needed a hotspot with lots more data than I had.  My NCC contact put me in contact with @Ken Morgan who owns Cricket Wireless.  Ken provided us with a hotspot for the game and it went off without a hitch.  The next day I asked where I could return it.  Ken's response was use it for all of your broadcasts and I'll just be your sponsor.  So that's how our relationship began and to this day Ken is our only Sponsor and has been a HUGE part of our success.
