Neither team has a strength of schedule to brag about. This game in my mind is a toss up. Lots of unknowns from my perspective.

Shelby Valley was a complete mystery to me coming into this game. Great record, but level of competition was suspect with the exception of the West Virginia team. They need to get some competive teams on their schedule if they expect to be able to compete at Play-off time in the future. Still, a ten win season is a great accomplishment for a team and something hopefully they can build on.

Coaching, team building, off season workouts. A great coach makes average kids into a good team. The rebuilding starts now. Open the weight room and get to work for next year.

Prior to the Washington County game, I would probably agreed with you. After that game, I don’t see a running clock in this one. It may be a good game. Not 100 percent sure, but I think Desales has had only 2 running clocks this year(Shawnee and NewPort). NCC is above the talent level of those teams.

There are a lot of bad teams out there. I don’t think this is a good topic comparing all the bad teams in the state to find the worst.

Either way CAL will get a rematch out of this one. Unless you have Lloyd in this weeks matchup.

What Is Lloyd’s bestvwin this year?

I like the optimism. Having seen both teams play, NCC would have to play near the top of their potential and Desales would have to have an off game. Could happen. Thats the reason they play.

Deales should win easily unless they have a game like they had against Washington County, but they still win either way.

I think they can play Freshman ball only. Don’t know that 100 percent though.

Holy Cross is only two years removed from a semi-final game they they only lost by one touchdown. So if they can go from that to 0-11 in two years, it’s quite possible to go the other way as well. These kids need to get in the weight room and prove me correct in two years. Not even my team but I’m sticking with my positive prediction. Well pick this conversation up again in two years. Pretty sure I said two years. So we are in agreement. Trying to find something positive here for them. Not beating our chest on a first round opponent.

Holy Cross has to be the youngest team in Kentucky. Don’t be surprised if they are a serious contender in two years with all the youth on this team getting game experience.
