  1. I can't believe it's even being talked about. Great game for sure, but it's been blown up like he was in territory that hasn't been touched and that's just not true. There are lots of players who easily could have broken state records and didn't because they came out of the games early they were in. Corey Robinson when he was the qb at Lone Oak had several games where he could have thrown 10 td passes in a half let alone a game. He had 4 games with 8 touchdowns in the game and easily could have gone for more. He had one of those 7 td's in a half games as well as several others. Joe Casey when he was the running back at Tilghman had 417 rushing yards early in a playoff game. Probably could have easily broken the record. There was no reason to keep playing him when you had the game in control at halftime. Of course there are many, many other examples where records could have fallen and quite easily at that, but that's just part of it. I've just been amused by all the chatter about it. I love Carothers' game and have since the first time I watched him play. He's incredible. It's really a non issue at the end of the day. You are definitely correct though about it possibly being problematic and that's really unfortunate. I've been around quite a few family and friend circles who have spoken up when there was no need, hopefully they move past it sooner rather than later.
  2. PT 7-0 WE 6-1 Tilghman: 51.14 ppg on offense, 15.14 allowed on defense Wins against McCracken, Graves, Mayfield, Madisonville, Franklin Simpson, Allen County-Scottsville, Logan County Warren East: 26.14 ppg on offense, 9.14 allowed on defense Wins against Ohio County, Central Hardin, Warren Central, Calloway County, Franklin Simpson, Allen County-Scottsville. 1 loss against Greenwood Tilghman is back at home for the first time since September 11th and will take on a Warren East team that they have handled pretty well the last 3 years, winning by margins of 50, 49, 50 and 38 the last 4 games in that span. PT is coming back after a week off. The game before, they arguably played their best overall game of the season in a game they went to Logan, who they struggled with last year and took a commanding 37-0 lead at halftime. As I looked at stats in their off week, I noticed just how efficient PT qb Xavier Isable has been in his first season with the team. He has completed 64.1% of his passes for 248 pass yards per game, but what's most impressive is his 23 pass touchdowns with zero interceptions. Isaac James leads the team in rushing with 98 ypg and a 9.3 yards per carry average. JaAubrey Sherrill has been a nice addition as well as he averages 6.5 yards per carry and has 7 rushing td's. As a team, PT averages 169.6 rush yards a game. Avery Thompson, Chance McPike and Anthony Crumble lead the way in the receiving corps, which is deep if they need it. Thompson hauls in 89.0 yds a game, McPike 82.3 and Crumble, 59.1. That's tough to deal with at the high school level. Before I get into the Warren East side of the offense, I want to talk about their defense. They have 3 shutouts this season already and give up only 9.14 ppg. The most staggering stat I have seen on maybe any team this season is their tackles for loss total. They are credited with 76! That blows my mind. That is a staggering number through 7 games. For perspective, Tilghman's defense is really good as well and they tend to play behind the line of scrimmage a lot and they have 32 TFL's. So that's definitely something PT will have to be aware of going into this game. This defense looks like they'll definitely get after you. Warren East qb Brandon McCluskey passes at 97.9 ypg but only has 4 td's and 4 int's thus far. He is also their leading rusher at 49.1 ypg and 7.5 yards per carry. They do have 4 guys who average between 27.5 up to his 49.1 per game, so they hand it off to several different guys and as a team they average 151.9 rush yards per game. Azzarrious Douglas leads Warren East in receiving as he has just under half their receiving yards for the year. He pulls in his receptions at 19.4 yards a reception, so he'll get behind you if you aren't careful. He also averages 33.9 yds a game rushing on an impressive 9.1 yards per carry. I think just looking at numbers, this Warren East offense doesn't have enough to go toe to toe with the PT offense. They are going to have to hang their hats on the fact that their defense has played really, really well. Just how well against an offense of this caliber is the question. Can they cause enough disruption to possibly keep this close? Does Tilghman continue to put up big numbers and in a hurry as they have previously? Let us hear your thoughts.
  3. Thanks to @Purple88 for taking care of me once again. I feel like I've had to ask a lot the last few seasons. You are the man! Greatly appreciate you!
  4. PT 37 Logan 7 Final Great performance by Tilghman heading into their off week.
  5. PT 37 Logan 7 End 3rd qtr
  6. PT 37 Logan 7 3 minutes and change left in the 3rd qtr
  7. We knew PT would score some points in this one, but to be shutting out a team who averages just shy of 50 and at their place, this defense deserves a lot of credit.
  8. PT 37 Logan 0 :24 2nd qtr
  9. Radio issue not gonna be able to be fixed at halftime. Will do the best they can.
  10. PT 30 Logan 0 Safety Just under a minute until half.
  11. PT interception at the goal line to keep the shutout intact for a while longer.
  12. Was definitely not expecting a start like this. PT is working their way up into contender status in 4A. To start the season, I didn't know if their peak could get them there, but they are gonna be a part of the conversation at least if they continue to improve.
  13. PT 28 Logan 0 6:43 2nd qtr
  14. Will do. She's sitting right next to me listening to the game also. Their radio feed is really bad. Some sort of cord they are needing to replace at the half.
  15. We've definitely upped the game on vacations the last couple years. That unknown of not knowing how many you have left really got a hold of me and we're gonna go until the well is dry; within reason of course. The schedule needs to come out as soon as the season ends so I'm better prepared. Lol
  16. Appreciate it! Hard to miss games like this.
  17. PT 21 Logan 0 End 1st qtr
  18. They also just mentioned they are having technical issues with the radio broadcast, so it may not be the cruise internet after all.
  19. I did just hear them say PT was up 14-0 in the first qtr, they didn't give a time. Great start for the Tornado in a tough road game it seems.
  20. Trying my best to listen to a radio feed, but this overpriced cruise ship internet isn't doing it's job. Any and all updates will be super helpful. I'm hoping I get better coverage soon.
  21. That play has found it's way to Bleacher Report today. Gonna be a lot of people who will have an opinion on that. Should be good entertainment.
  22. The play the bad spot supposedly happened on was on the 3rd down play which then forced them to obviously go for it on the 4th down
  23. They bring out the chains and measure and they are a yard short. McCracken 48 Murray 42 Can't wait to see the footage of that play they were talking about.
