Rock 28 Woodford 7 Halftime. Had two touchdowns called back that ended up turnover on downs due to self inflicted penalties. Overall pretty good half for Rock.

I have great respect for Johnson Central you guys are the by any stretch of the imagination THE team to beat in 4A you are defending State champs from last year and have won your games to this point this year so kudos to you. I do also apreciate the respect shown towards my team this year so far in Rockcastle. I have to say I would love for nothing else than a region final showdown between Rock and JC! That in my opinion would be epic! Here's to what hopefully unfold's as being just that Rock vs JC! I understand Wayne County made it to the region final last year and I give them respect for that but let's not forget Rock won the district and until they win it back I feel Wayne has been receiving all the credit and high expectations of being the favorite to make it to the region final when they may not win the district again. Good thing all this can be decided in 3 weeks. Hope everyone has a injury free season and I feel the East playoff bracket should be as fun as last year! Go Rock!

Official stats posted Rock rushed for 453 yards. 62 attempts that averages out to 7.3 yards per attempt. Was some serious ground and pound going on. Good job O-Line. Still needs work in the passing game. But was still amazing feat to have that many rushing yards against a big physical d-line like Whitley County that only allowed 14 total points to Corbin and 13 points to Leslie county and for a team that had not aloud a second half score in those two games. Rock scored 21 in the first half and 23 in the 2nd half. Rock trailed 21-28 at halftime and was down 35-21 in the 3rd.

In my opinion this is the best offense we have had in many years. Our line is bigger than last year and much stronger. Our running game is deep we use 4-5 backs and just keep coming down hill at you. Right now our best wide receiver has been hurt since opening kickoff last week game against lincoln with an ankle injury should be back in a week or so hopefully so that has limited our passing game. Our defense secondary is small and young. We play 4 freshman on the team which has contributed to the high point totals hopefully they get better as the season goes along and our injured WR plays in the secondary so that should improve some when he get back. Overall they are a solid football team with a lot of heart and grit.

Anyone who saw this game saw a Rockcastle offensive line completely manhandle whitley D-line and basically run at will. The big boys up front put on a clinic and wore Whitley down. When the stats come out I say Rock has close to if not more than 400 rushing yards. As I predicted it came down to if Rock defense could make one or two plays to get a stop and they came up with one 4th down on the 11 up 43-35 under a minute to go and got the 4th down stop. Was a great game and hats off to Whitley they have a great passing game Every bit as good as our run game! Good luck rest of the season!

This should be a good game to watch. By now it's no secret Whitley County is the real deal season veteran team. Big line and seem to run a balanced offense. They gave Corbin all they could handle in week 1 and just came up 14 points short in a 14-0 loss. Week 2 was won rather easy against a quality opponent. Rock comes in to the game after beating Lincoln 41-30. Rock offense is as good as advertise and has picked up where it left off last year raking in 396 yards of offense but 388 of that was ground and pound behind there big physical line. This game should be a big boy's game won in the trenches. If Rock can get there young defense ready then look for them to beat Whitley. If they can't get consistent stops then the game could be a toss up. I feel Rock can string together enough stops and for that reason am picking Rockcastle. Rock- 34 Whitley- 20
