  1. Manimal 15u is going to be beast. However they have a lot of promises to keep!
  2. Muhlenberg is very very young. They will be a serious contender in 2 years. For one Muhlenberg was without Will Nofsinger who is expected to be the team leader this year, he was sick. Secondly UHA has been well known for being one dimensional on offense for several years and it showed through Tandy. That performance will not get past Hoptown after the return of Johnson.
  3. If your using this game as a litmus test your in for a world of misery. Tandy is an impressive athlete. Would like to see him play man D against the same caliber player.
  4. Look for a very young supporting cast at Muhlenberg county this year. Lots of potential there.
  5. I agree to the above, however the statement I quoted says "ANY organization" which would include the utilization of trainers outside of the schools. So many coaches use this rule to shield kids from progressing on their own. If its a conditioning coach that you run/lift with on weekends or a skills coach that you participate with weekly, both legal. The statement I quoted would also exclude KHSAA sanctioned events which the rule clearly states is legal. This is not an interpretation of the rule. I have personally asked this question on numerous occasions. This is not an attempt to create friction. The rules are clear and blanketed statements do not cut the mustard in today's day and time.
  6. It is not up to the coach to make any decision or set guidelines as to what my son can and cannot participate in during the open gym/conditioning time frame. Somewhere coaches, seasoned or not, convinced themselves they are the authority in student athletes lives. This is a huge misconception. Athletics is an extracurricular activity. It is the parent/guardian responsibility to govern the minor they are legally responsible for.
  7. This is the point I was hoping would come out if this thread. With so many rural communities in KY, it’s next to impossible for BFE High with a D1 recruit to make a run deep into state because it takes a team. However with AAU you can truely be measured against your peers.
  8. Funny how “they” said the exact same thing about Harmon not leaving!
  9. Sweet 16 or peach jam in front of every D1 power school in the nation? I don’t think you understand the mindset of a 15-18 year old these days.
  10. It appears clear to me. How relevant is high school in regards getting to the next level?
  11. Not an attempt to get a debate started. However if you are attempting to get to the next level of competition how relevant is high school? Agree acadimics is the priority. Agree on sweet sixteen comment. However if your next level talent stuck at BFE High that is a pipe dream.
  12. Everyone has their own opinions and that opinion is often formed from a particular perspective. However with an open mind, how relevant is high school basketball (in the bluegrass) when it comes to getting to the next level of play?
  13. I'm going to go with Catholic with Appollo a close second.
  14. I know its down this year but I want to here opinions on bright spots and potential.
  15. Jaylen Sebree is has a solid game, big frame, and length. If the kid fills out he will be a force.
  16. Anyone know the gentleman? Had a kid tell me he had been working with him during the dead period. Works out of BG. From what little I can gather he seems legit.
