Collins is the team to beat in the 8th. Too many weapons.

Looks like they both played and had over 20 points a piece. Great win for E-town.

I have been waiting for this game. I said from the beginning that Collins was the team to beat. This will be a good measuring stick to see where SK stacks up.

I said Collins was my pick at the beginning of the year. After watching Oldham and Collins in the past two weeks I still say Collins. Way more weapons than Oldham.

Big fan of Jaden Rogers. I think he will be the best of the Fern Creek freshmen when it is all said and done. Got to watch his game when my son played on his AAU team the year before last. Very good player.

Watched Luke Ezell play at the Panama City Beach tournament over the holidays (Spencer County fan) and we played him earlier in the year--one of the top two players we have faced this year. Sees the floor VERY well. Great passer. Totally impressed with this kid.

Niece and Conley are the top two and are top 10 players in the state for the 2021 class. Another Spencer County freshman is the starting point guard Jake Whitlock. He basically runs that team and is averaging 8 points and almost 4 assist a game and around 1.5 turnovers while being the primary ball handler. When he goes out of the game Spencer County drops a notch. Noah Gordon is a very good freshman at Shelby County. He should be featured more on that team. I like kids that are complete players--meaning they play both ends of the floor. Sam Conley and Jake Whitlock are lockdown defenders. Guarding the best players on opposing teams as freshmen. That's a tall order. Guys that are great scorers are nice, but give me the guys that can do it on both ends. I don't know how good Niece is on the defensive end.

Spencer County has three very good freshmen. Sam Conley and Jake Whitlock start varsity and Lucas Hornback plays lots of varsity minutes.

Spencer County down 19 at half playing a horrible first half. Looked like they figured some things out and came roaring back. I've now seen everybody but Walton Verona and I say Collins is the team to beat in the 8th region. Oldham beat Walton Verona am I correct on that?

If Collins is as sharp as they were against Spencer= double digit loss for South Oldham.

Kidwell did provide lift. I think Turner had hit 8 threes all year so that was definitely him playing at his best. Like I said Collins had it going. Impressive.

Turner knocked down some wide open threes, but I thought the difference in the game was Forte driving to the basket. He was unstoppable. McKnight is so strong and got a bunch of offensive rebounds. Spencer Shot horribly. They have to be hitting shots to knock off a VERY good team like Collins.

You might want to watch Collins play before you say that. They are playing at a high level right now.

Don't be shocked that's the best team in the 8th region. Several Collins parents said that's the best they have played all year. They are very good. I still can't believe South Oldham beat Oldham. South Oldham beat Spencer by one on South's home court. And Spencer played without their best player. It's all about matchups.

Impressed with Collins.
