Where is Collins? They are the best of the eighth region. Walton Verona should be below them.

I don't think it's uneducated at all. That game was at the beginning of the year when Collins was missing some key football players and I believe one injured player. I try to watch everybody play in the 8th region and I don't feel like Gallatin is as good as some might have you believe. No disrespect to them at all. Just my opinion. I will say they have an excellent coach. Next three games will tell us where Gallatin stands. I wish them luck.

I know this ranking uses a formula, but I think it is pretty dead on from everything I have observed this year. I would have Collins at number one. Still think Simon Kenton may be a little high after their last loss. Gallatin County's schedule is too weak to warrant anything higher.

If that is true--South Oldham was missing all those players and beat Simon Kenton then that's all I need to know about Simon Kenton. I hadn't seen them play this year, but they aren't a top tier team if that really happened. They just dropped down the my rankings for our region big time.

As mentioned earlier, Iroquois lost to Butler by one two weeks ago. So they are very capable of knocking off some good teams on a given night.

Anderson got a big boost out of the kid(#3) that hit at least three threes. I think he was averaging less than a point a game. Spencer County was almost up 20 and he started bombing threes. So he made it look a little better. Number 3--he played in the JV game and did nothing. I think the Spencer County coaches learned some things from last years district tournament loss as to how to defend Gritton and Penny. Anytime you have a player like Penny you are dangerous.

Penny, Gritton, Pittman are good players.

Penny had trouble staying in front of the freshman point guard Jake Whitlock. I think Whitlock went 9/11 from the free throw line. They kept fouling him. I watched Gritton and he never favored his ankle one time. Spencer's defense was excellent. I have a feeling that Anderson will be there at the end. They have some good weapons.
