@chrisjungKNE on twitter is reporting that Derrick Clubb is the new coach.

Technically the principal makes the hire not the AD. Will this hire help get the kids who won the 8th grade middle school state back to Prestonburg? A lot transferred after the middle school season.

All this is true but also wherever he goes or stays, it changes the landscape immediately somewhere if it is in kentucky or out of state. Also, to be fair it isn't as if the kid is encouraging the speculation by holding a news conference or setting an announcement day. As purple pride says he is still a Purple and there is no concern in BG that he will not be next season. If he isn't at BG thiugh, there will still be a team trying to repeat as state champions.

Bowling green is interviewing tomorrow and announcement by Friday

New coach will be hired within two weeks, possibly this coming week.

I personally would love to see a return to EKU or Memorial.

Where ever he goes they become an automatic contender and a lot of schools he makes them the favorite.

I would highly recommend.

One wouldn't think any decision would be made until the Purples name a new coach. Have heard a few rumors out there as of late, a few interesting ones on different in-state schools, some expected some un-expected even though the assumption by all has been Bowling Green or prep school. Essentially Harmon has his choice being that even though he has played varsity your eligibility isn't established until you begin your freshman year like Quentin Snider for example. He played at Fern Creek as an 8th grader and was able to transfer to Ballard as a freshman or Cole VonHandorf at Villa Madonna to Cov Cath.

Basically do this so they get a kickback on those hotel fees. KBA will be shut down by June 2018 or have new ownership.

Harmons former AAU coach for multiple years is a head high school coach in Kentucky, would he end up there? Doubtful since he didn't end up there to begin with. Haven't heard Hopkinsville as a possible destination but did hear University Heights. He used to play AAU with KyKy Tandy some. Scotty Hopson was #7 ranked prospect nationally in 2008. SCOUT 2008 PLAYER RANKINGS O.J. Mayo was the #1 player in the nation 2007. SCOUT 2007 PLAYER RANKINGS

He did play varsity ball as a 7th grader in Tennessee at Lighthouse Christian. Scored 33 points vs La Lumiere while playing varsity for Lighthouse Christian as a 7th grader, and yes La Lumiere A team with Brian Bowen, Tyger Campbell etc.

Resume?

Cook was the coach there all last season though and his whole team Returned with the additions of Canada and Wellman so them being able to run sets etc isn't to surprising

Not sure the rules of saying names on here but we will say #24 perry central.

Hearing they will be adding another player to be named later. A starter on a state quarter finalist last season, will be a junior.

Appears as if Korbin Spencer has announced his transfer to prep school. Korbin Spencer Announces Transfer

Issac Wilson has left the Middlesboro program to become the new head coach at Corbin on the girls side.

Hayden has been assistant on the boys staff the last two years. Prior to that he was interim head coach at Caverna, leading the Colonels to a district championship in 2015. Griffith hired as Warren East football coach | Prep Sports | bgdailynews.com "Warren East also announced Tuesday the hiring of Orlando Hayden to coach the girls’ basketball team. Hayden was an assistant for the Warren East boys’ basketball team and led the boys’ JV team. He also serves as the boys’ track and field coach. Having already been at Warren East gives Hayden an advantage in building relationships with his future players. “It helps out quite a bit,” Hayden said. “From the time with me being here with the boys, we’ve done individual workouts and I’ve had some of the girls do individual workouts with me and at the same time, we interacted with each other at practice.” Hayden was a previous assistant at Glasgow and Caverna and led the Colonels to a 21-6 record and District 18 title in one season as interim head coach in 2014-15. He replaces Andrew Peters, who stepped down after three seasons and a 14-65 record. The Lady Raiders went 4-24 last year. Hayden said his main focus is to get the interest up in the school about girls’ basketball and recruit more players to a team that hasn’t won a District 14 game since 2011. “My main thing is it’s all about the numbers,” Hayden said. “We have to have girls play. Last year I think numbers hurt them and they had a few girls that were hurt. When you play back-to-back in a week, it kind of hurts you.” Hayden also said he’ll put in a system that will allow every player to score. Baylen Wardlow is the top exiting senior who averaged 10.5 points per game last season. Post player Cressida Duncan led the team with 14.2 points per game and will return next season. “With her and I’d say at least three or four other girls on that team, I look for big things to happen,” Hayden said. “With her being the post player she is, she’ll be a beast. … If we can get her moving pretty good, I think the rest of the team will build around it and focus and be hard to beat. “The offense I run is usually set up for everybody to score, not just one person. I think that’s going to be a difference, too, is you’ll see people scoring you probably didn’t see from last year.” - BG Daily News

Looks like he was going to Lipscomb originally but is now going to WKU. I remember him hitting a couple big threes in their OVC Championship win when they were like the 8 seed. Jared Savage changes Transfer Destination | KySports.TV

If you are going to put someone in have to take one out. Cobe Penny is the only one listed and he is in a tie for 10th that doesn't have a d1 offer. Do Jalen johnson or cager have a d1 offer? I would think Johnson possibly does.
