I say he would work for free for a year to go back to Augusta.

Augusta young kids aren't good by Augusta standard, they are good by statewide standard. Class for class right now, top 5-10 in state good. How that pans out long term nobody knows, but they have proved to be top 5-10 good at this point.

Saying in 1-2 years the talent will decrease is one of the craziest statements ever made on this website, and that is saying a lot. In 1-2 years Augusta will begin to see the pinnacle of Augusta basketball over the next 4-6 years if the players don’t leave.

Back in 2010 or 11 up till that point all coaches could do was open gym and not coach but they switched the rules and allow coaches to be on the court providing instruction anytime other than the dead period, but can’t make t mandatory.

What the rule states you are allowed to do, why have them graduate at 18 if are allowed to at 19 and still play?

June 25-July 9 is the only time they are not allowed to coach their team. October 15 - Last tournament game you can make mandatory, from last tournament game until June 25 is optional for the kid can not make mandatory. July 10 - October 14 is optional for the kid, can not make mandatory. But there are no restrictions on what a coach can and can’t do, they are allowed to do individuals , team practices for who there etc but can not hold it against a kid for not being there.

Cause you should just be in your local county high school gym working with the 20% who show up to volunteer workouts and others at the golf course and pool all summer. That’s all a coach should care about making mammy and pappy Little Johnny smart ellick mouth better so they can scream on Tuesday and Fridays during season why my boy not playing over the 20% that did show up, it was off season my boy wanted to be a kid and swim and golf and hang with his friends.

Because high school coaching is so much about not just having talent. Basketball isn't rocket science, Nimbo played at the highest level and his AAU team he runs doesn't have the most talent, in fact has left over talent more times than not yet he always competes. Great hire by Bryan Station and good job not just hiring the company man with a good binder in his briefcase and interview.

Are you saying Brian Kirk is the new coach?

There one name off list

He may not have applied but he was 100% sure in Maysville and met with them, informal or formal however you want to word it and if he didn't officially fill out an application or not then he didnt, but he did meet with them and told them what he would have to have and his demands or wishes for a better word were not able to be met so maybe he didnt waste his time applying.

Brad Bonds moves to the boys side.

News that is a shock as nobody even knew the job was open, Bonds moves over from the girls side. This is the 5th coach in 5 years I believe for the Patriots. Brad Bonds 18-19 Nick Chaycowsky 17-18 Lex Lindsey 16-17 Hilton Isable 15-16 James Willett 14-15

Basically same story I have heard about Graham.

Seen on Twitter Coach Cundiff is out as South Warren coach.

That is every job

that answers that

So your saying Daniel Brown is out?

Brian Kirk would run down 8 for the job.

Rumor is the KBA will be shut down before long, not generating enough money to stay open. When Tom Bower left, the place went downhill.

I don't know the situation on assistant coaches but one would assume that the individuals got pink slipped from coaching. That would be standard wouldn't it and let the new coach pick his assistant coaches. Pink slipped from coaching wouldnt mean pink slipped from teaching as well if they are teachers, I am sure all of their assistant coaches weren't teachers.

A couple things, one I see no possible way that he will max out in age, his father Ryan is way to smart for that and no way he has his son set up to where he is to old for his senior season, I feel that is probably just jealous people. Secondly, Travis is very good and legit right now vs his peers, however he is already taller than his father and saying he is doing prep senior season, is surely not the plan, maybe the hope or dream but not the plan guaranteed.

Old Hammer is going to be around Maysville a lot, he was the guest this morning on Sports Talk and has a camp coming up as well.

I have heard that Cincinnati is the front runner.
