Chris O'Hearn is on the KHSAA Board of Control for the 9th and 10th regions. Shouldn't he have know about this rule?

This is the first time since the new district was alignied in 2006 that district rotation was brought up. Now it is up to Julian Tackett to decide and I doubt he change anything. Augusta and Saint Patrick had this pre-planned because they were sitting at the table together during the draw (Evan Dennison tweeted a photo). So Mason/Augusta/St Pat tried to scare Bracken with invalid vote thinking Bracken wouldn't realize it. This is great.

B) Sites for Play 1) District tournament sites shall be selected by a site selection plan approved by a unanimous vote of the schools eligible to compete in each district tournament. If a district is unable to resolve conflict over the plan, the Commissioner shall establish a plan. 2) Only schools which are members of the Association prior to January 1 of the year in which the tournament is held, and having a schedule of twelve (12) or more basketball games shall be allowed to vote for the district tournament location or participate in the tournament. 3) Criteria to be considered by the schools for the district tournament include but are not limited to: a) Satisfactory capacity within the facility to safely accommodate past (five years) and expected attendance numbers; b) Enough dressing rooms if double headers are to be played; c) An officials dressing room; d) Adequate parking for projected attendance; and e) meet the published site selection criteria for basketball as posted on the KHSAA website.

Looks like it needs to be a 4-0 vote to change hosting. And I don't think Bracken will give up the Igloo.

Karma will catch up to Augusta. What Robin Kelsch did today was dirty, and I think Hinson lost a lot of respect for him because of it. All the kids Hinson brought there and all the success he had with Augusta and Robin Kelsch stabs him the back like that? They will draw Mason the next 4 years.

Within the next four years a redistricting will happen so this may not last long. Bracken County could say they will drop the seed/draw stuff if they vote to alternate hosts.

Brought this up because of the recent vote to have it at Mason county.

Who was a better host for the 39th District Tournament. The Fieldhouse has space, but the Igloo has atmosphere.

St Pat, Mason County, Augusta voted to have the district at the Fieldhouse the next 4 years. No more alternating.

Vote is 3-1 to hold the District Tournament at Mason Co. 2018 through 2021.

I know what you are trying to do. Augusta is 11-10, Bracken is 10-12, so according to your math Augusta is better, right? My lord look at the strength of schedule.

This is an honest question. Has Mason County played at full strength all year? At the beginning Tyrion Fox was out, Lofton was suspended, Kumler and Perkins have been hurt, now they have multiple players suspended and Garrison and other players have quit. They have to have a different starting 5 every night.

I'll take the Royals by 6. Fox has been playing well lately. They still have Lofton and Kumler.

Leevi Dunaway, Jayden Stewart, and Tykeise Henry are all suspended for tonight's game. Edit: Ryan Mitchell is also suspended.

Does Montgomery County have everyone back? Seems like both teams have been playing not at full strength all season long.

Here's the KHSAA. I really wish they would bring back the cup look trophies.

I would assume they put the team players engraved in a plate on the trophy which adds a nice touch as well

I agree the KHSAA trophy's are cheap and looked better back in 90's when the trophy's were in the shape of the state. They shouldn't give a runner up trophy because that's a total of 128 trophies. However the All A region trophies get smaller every year. The regional trophies used tonbe about the size the state championship one is now. Just the little things show the All A takes care of the athletes.
