This could be year they finally get past Sayre in the All A.

They very well may. Buttrey has a good team. Model may beat them both. Pretty even district if you ask me.

Salsman has done an incredible job during his tenure at Catholic and in my opinion, very under appreciated. However, I don't see them being top 3 this year. Dunbar, HC, Lafayette, (Bryan Station barely out). LCA, Scott, Catholic, Central second tier. Woodford, Southern, Sayre, Model, Creek, Franklin, Frankfort, third tier. Hills, Berea round it out.

I appreciate the job Hundley has done at Woodford and Barton at Frankfort, but I am not sure why they would be brought in the conversation more than Model, Sayre, Tates Creek, Franklin Co or Western Hills. Model has steadily improved and returns a couple of nice players, and Coach Scarsbury is very good. Sayre has been good the last 2 years and returns a lot and is very well coached. Tates Creek will compete with any of them. Western Hills appears to be competitive and Tony Wise and Franklin Co won the district last year. Coach Jackson at Berea has done a great job with what he has to work with. I guess my point is, there are several good teams in the 11th. Some of which, never get recognized for being in the 11th with some of best teams in state. I think there is a clear top tier, but others are very good teams. Put Model in anther region and your looking at a top 10 team easily. You could say that about several of these teams.

This year seems more wide open in the 11th as far as top players are concerned. I'm not sure Morris is best player on Catholic or King is best on LCA. Not to mention, there are a few players on teams not listed in top 10 who could be on list. Really seems tough to pin down who is best this year. As for teams, it's Dunbars to lose.

Muse is very good as well, but never saw him this year. Had a son on team with Goodman, Shuler would practice with them some. Won 3 straight state championships with LFC. Played against Batman this year, and he is good. And Gallagher was runner up twice. Having said that, my bad for posting in wrong thread. My eyes starting to play tricks on me!:lol2:

This forum is very northern kentucky heavy, and there are many fine players. My perspective comes from central kentucky. The best goalies I have seen are Shuler from Dunbar, Goodman from Sayre, and Batman from Woodford. Gallagher from KCD (Louisville) is outstanding.

Not a whole lot of love for Bourbon County and Coach Sosby on here. If they are not in top 10, I would put them at 11 with an eye on them. Coach has them going in the right direction.

Just got names. Batman for Woodford. Goodman for Sayre. If info correct, Goodman won 3 straight states for LFC before stepping away for basketball. Batman, is goalie at high school for same LFC coach of Goodman and is very tough.

Goalies always seemed to be overlooked. I don't know names but I know that Dunbar, Sayre, and Woodford have some of the best in the region. Anyone know names?
