  1. Only watched him in one game, but he was solid up the middle. Fluid release with good range
  2. Kennedy, catcher from Cov Cath. Kid shuts down a running game. I have no idea of his BA, but gets on base a lot and hits the ball hard
  3. SK is a fairly young team, and generally doesn't hurt themselves. They're going to be good for at least the next couple of years. As a general statement, the 2018 class seems to be loaded across NKY. Should be fun to watch
  4. Yikes! Nice spelling..."thoughs" is not "those". I'm curious if you're equally active on game threads that SK loses? Hmmm
  5. Frustration of a Cov Cath follower...I would really like to see the Colonels play some of these quality teams from around the state. It's really tough to say if Cov Cath is over or under rated at 25. Having seen Ryle and Beechwood up close, they feel like they're in the right spots. Saw Greenup against Beechwood. They are definitely a Top 5...the record supports the top spot overall. Cov Cath has Beechwood tomorrow. That will be a good barometer.
  6. in the grand scheme of things, yes, it's kind of bad.
  7. Robert had fantastic command all day. Hit his spots, kept Dixie off balance. Congrats!
  8. They beat Connor 8-1. Had two breakout offensive innings. Armstrong started, pitched very well, and Ekerle closed.
  9. Beechwood has had a couple of key injuries this season, so they may well be the top of the heap in NKY. That said, Ryle is better (IMO) right now, and could possibly be better when both are at full strength.
  10. I've seen CCH play about 8 games. Don't know who I've seen catch more, but close to 50/50. For my money, it's a coin toss between the two. Kennedy seems to have a quicker release and throws more out. Decker is very good as well. Cov Cath has two nice options behind the dish this year, and Schwartz has thrown a couple of gems on the mound. As for the post season, I'd say Krumps goes with the hot bat and who he thinks will better shut down the running game.
  11. Good scrimmage tonight. The first team on both sides of the ball looked sharp out of the gate. Campbell looked slow to me.
  12. I think the new logo is really nice. Has a refreshed feel, but also seems classic and traditional. Nice job to the designer and those that selected it.
  13. I hope they use some of the trim pieces to put in front of the baseball field dugouts
  14. Doty- Highlands France, M. Schrand - Cov Cath
  15. Thanks. That makes sense. I like HHS to take the region, but that potential BW match-up could force them to use up their best arms. I've seen Dixie a few times this year...I've seen them look poem they can beat anyone, and I've seen them lay eggs. If the 'good Dixie' shows up, watch out.
  16. If I'm HHS, I start Doty and try to keep Rasior for Tues.
  17. Is there an actual bracket posted somewhere? What are possible round 2 match-ups?
  18. Cov Cath has 3 2018 grads that should make a big impact in 2016...Kennedy, Maile, and Mayer. Krumps should be giddy with excitement about what he has coming up next season. A lot of returning juniors, a couple of sophomores that will contribute and a really nice young crop.
  19. Cov Cath bats need to wake up if they're going to have a shot in regionals. Combs was great, but they really only squared up 3 balls. Pitzer was strong, and Galvin looked good too.
  20. AK has shown signs of being very good for another 3 years behind the plate.
