  1. To be honest, I think Andrew Luck will be right up there with Brady by the end of his career.
  2. I'm a fan of Mason County, so if the Royals don't make it then I think I'd like to see Montgomery County head back to Rupp. They're a really tough team with hard-working kids that would really deserve a spot in the Sweet 16.
  3. Not necessarily saying that they're exact replicas of those players at this point. Just saying I think they represent these players at the college level
  4. I got bored earlier this week and decided to make my best guess as to who each UK player best resembles in the NBA (play style/body type). Agree or disagree? Other suggestions? Andrew Harrison - Kyle Lowry Aaron Harrison - Aaron Afflalo / J.R. Smith Trey Lyles - Paul Millsap Willie Cauley-Stein - Giannis Antetokounmpo Karl Towns - Al Jefferson Dakari Johnson - Samuel Dalembert Devin Booker - Klay Thompson Tyler Ulis - Ty Lawson Marcus Lee - Nikola Vucevic (best that I could think of) Alex Poythress - Maurice Harkless
  5. Mason County senior Jake O'Mara announced this past week that he will be a future Murray State Racer. Congratulations, Jake!
  6. I saw this on Sportscenter earlier today and thought it would be a pretty interesting topic to discuss, especially after all the attention he has drawn this week. Thoughts?
  7. So does this mean it's NOT a double dribble if you continuously dribble the ball with two hands but the ball never pauses?
  8. Guys, the game hasn't even been played yet. We can argue all of this after the game Friday around 9:30...
  9. If James Bolden is in the top 5 then Dorian Henry HAS to be as well.
  10. Leadership will be the biggest thing moving forward for the Royals. They graduated about 15 seniors with tons of experience. It's going to betough for them to find a QB with O'Mara and Boone walking out the door. I would assume possible candidates could be: Kane Neal, Luke Morgan, Chandler Dunaway...However, Coach Buchanan is one heck of a football coach and I know he will have his guys ready come season time. Going to be interesting to see how well MC handles the transition from 3A to 4A. Good luck to Coach Buchanan and the Ragin' Royals in 2015!
  11. Did I hear the cheering section chanting "MCPAPA" tonight?? Tried to make out what they were saying...about 95% sure that was it.
  12. Agreed. Watch out for Dunbar in the post-season. To me, they're the best sub-.500 team in the state.
  13. Don't know much about NL, but I know quite a bit about GRC. I'll go with the Cards by 5.
  14. Tons of credit to Pendleton County. They came out fired up to play in this ball game. Hosting the top team in the region, large crowd tonight as they honored the 1965 region championship team, and they sure proved to a lot of people that they can play with the best of the best in the region. Mason County seemed to be in a Holmes hangover tonight, simply didn't come out ready to play. After they realized they were down double digits, they started to scratch and claw their way back into the ball game. Ultimately rebounding, defense, and players stepping up to hit big shots (all in the second half) was the name of the game for the Royals. I believe the Wildcats took a huge step forward tonight and should have a lot of confidence moving forward. All in all, it was such a fun game to be at in a great environment.
  15. Johnson returned tonight and finished with 16. Thomas' ankle is still not 100% yet. Should be back in action next week I'm assuming.
  16. Same factors apply as the high school threads. Shoutout to GoRoyals for the assistance. Point Guards $5 - John Wall $4 - Brandon Knight $3 - Marquis Teague $2 - Andrew Harrison $1 - Tyler Ulis $1 - Ryan Harrow Shooting Guards $5 - Eric Bledsoe $4 - Aaron Harrison $3 - Doron Lamb $2 - Devin Booker $1 - Archie Goodwin Small Forwards $5 - Michael Kidd-Gilchrist $4 - James Young $3 - Alex Poythress $2 - Trey Lyles $1 - Darius Miller $1 - Deondre Liggins Power Forwards $5 - Julius Randle $4 - Terrance Jones $3 - Willie Cauley-Stein $2 - Patrick Patterson $1 - Marcus Lee $1 - Kyle Wiltjer Centers $5 - Anthony Davis $4 - Demarcus Cousins $3 - Karl-Anthony Towns $2 - Nerlens Noel $1 - Dakari Johnson $1 - Josh Harrellson $1 - Daniel Orton
  17. A lot of players left to choose from... Trent McGovney, Caswell Fuller, Owens Crawford, Blake Losey, any of the remaining starters from Mason County..
