SK only needs 21 more wins to get to .500 vs Dixie. Dixie even has a winning record vs SK in 6A Play and all time play!

A 24-17 Win VS Ryle wouldn't be close to crushing them. I would have to point out Ryle OWNS SK with a 7 and 4 record in the last 10 years. I think Ryle has been CRUSHING SK for the last 10 years.

Very good info. Coaches want big players that run fast and have good grades. It's hard to get into that 1.6%. Very hard to get offers. You must fit the mold or be a freak athlete. If you fit that mold. Big fast or under size but realy fast. Then you have to get out to camps!! Your JR year is the biggest year in HS football. Most D1 schools offer before or early in the senior year. Jr year tape and camps are the key to getting offers.

I'm not sold on SK being on a good run, or NKY 6a being just weak. good luck to them. Hope they do well.

I agree. Some small colleges cost around 50,000+ a year. Even if you got 20,000 paid for. Is a sport worth 30,000 a year to play?? Why not just enroll in a state school close to home live at home and save tons of money. It's sad a kid can come out of school and owe 100,000$.

I agree. If a small school gives you 20,000 a year in aid but your out another 20,000....

NAIA has 24 full rides. They 99% of the time split that up with Muti kids. Very few full rides. If any.

d1 FBS and D1 aa FCS. You have a 1.6% chance of a full ride schorlship.

What NCSA did for my family was tell us at what level our son could play at. It got another set of eyes on him, made the film. The guy we had was a recruiting coordinator at an FBS school and played FBS football. HE was spot on with his judgment. He knew before the HS coaches did. I think this was money well spent. It pointed me in the right direction. What schools to go to camps send out film too.

I think it's .9%. Almost 1%. That's not adding in the FCS schools 63 per team at around 106 teams that do offer schorliship football.

Kid of kills the showcase your top players. Must be just for the kids to play one more game. It would be nice if they used this event to help get kids seen by schools. Heck recuirting classes are over by this point at every level.

Does anyone know why this event is held so late? It seems this should be held right after the season is over. Invite all the local college coaches.

My question. Could an All Star team beat them? Top players from all the NKY 6a schools from the 2014 season.

All in fun. Their is a reason SK is Dixies sister school. Heck before the upgrades to both schools. It was laid out the same way. Same school. I hope SK does well in 6a. All but one week!! Kenton co. With the upgrades are now keeping more kids. There was a time when a lot of the best players went to other schools. That is changing. I think with the recent run with SK and Dixie. It's starting to show.

I think senior leadership is key. Mainly the number of seniors starting on a team. The really good football players are going to get playing time as a sophomore. It's keeping the kids that may not get much playing time untill later that is the key. Getting kids to buy in and wait their turn. Hard to go into a season with only 8 seniors that can play. Keeping the kids involved is the key.

Dixes 4 and 2 record vs SK in 6a play should make SK happy they DUCKED down.
