Oh I'm sorry was it a secret that several of your players are out? I thought with this being Highlands you would know these things. Sorry I let the secret out, However I did not mention any names. Let's just say maybe now little Jonny will get some playing time.

While watching the practice there was several sitting out. The boy's I talked to said they would be out for only a couple weeks. Not sure of the injuries.

First game and several sitting out already due to injuries that isn't a good way to start the year.

No I do not. however I do think we should talk up to our children and not be little them or the teams they play. it's called parenting your children the right way

And how sad is that? What does that say about us fellow adults?

No team should ever be talked down to. These are our boys and our future. We as parent's, and coaches should be doing nothing but cheering these youths as much as possible. No matter the team or the school they are all great.

Yes I think we may have some issues with out QB but that is not for me to judge. We only stayed till half time and then left but from what I did see the defense was on the field most of the game and they seemed to put up a good fight. Not sure what strings they was or what not but they did fairly well

Ok I understand that. No I have no clue of the senior players only that they looked amazing I thought. My son is only a 10th grader in hopes of playing this year which I think he stands a good chance but only time will tell.

why do I need to know the boys in order to know they are a good hard working team? While watching the game you can see they will have a good year. wasn't to many mistakes that I could tell. Sure I think they need some adjustments but don't all teams? No need to be nasty

I've seen them practice and also seen the game Friday. While I would agree they need more work but you can bet this Friday we will see a lot of changes.

Do we know who the starters are and sizes of the blue birds yet? Seems no one has a roster yet of sizes and positions? As long as all is well and no injuries I think highlands will blow them out of the water

I really don't think the Birds have anything to worry about. The kid's you are calling small and not talented I bet you wouldn't take them on or off the field.

Wow 15 pages of parent's bickering over who is the best. Really? I would be ashamed. These are children playing ball. These games mean more to you all than they do our boy's from the sound of it. I think these boy's from all teams act more mature than you parent's on here acting like this. Shameful

You would like now wouldn't you . And as much as I would like to do so I will not because this was not a thread to make trouble or hurt feelings. I was not aware of how much some of these dad's live threw their children. You know in the hopes the son can do something they never could. Shame Shame. I enjoy watching my boy play football but I will stick with golfing .

What I find most amusing is the emails I get confirming my fears yet they for whatever reason can't or won't agree with me on here. Makes it very interesting indeed.
