Only lost once in the last 10 or so and that was a 90 degree, 8th game in 10 day day stretch deal to Greenwood. Anna Lee and Eva Mitchell and crew looking to finish strong.

That's why the statistics thread doesn't really mean anything, it can be skewed so much by who you play and games like that. Anna Lee of Wess Jess had 3 goals by half last night against East but game was called at 3-0 for lightning. She probably wouldn't have played much after that as Coach Wright is good about getting his top players out or moving them to the back line once he sees it's not very competitive regardless of score. Going to be a good one Saturday night when Highlands comes to town.

Early season polls are like batting averages, they swing up and down wildly until more games are played. We'll find out a lot more about all this week. West has Dupont, Sacred Heart and Highlands all in the next 7 days.

Bolus does a pretty good job with his camp and does the best he can with his rankings but misses some for sure if they aren't brought to his attention in some form. Anna Lee at West Jessamine is one of the best pure points in the state and nobody matches her speed and handle but she's not been to any camps and concentrated on soccer instead where she's committed to UK.

West Jess won this one 4-3.

Yea curios about the criteria. West Jessamine had to be ranked at the bottom but is off to their best start in history at 10-3. Have 4 key players out right now going into County Clash against East tonight.

She is a good looking athlete. Didn't score against us at West but was a threat the whole game. Very aggressive and skilled.

Pressure, West played without two Of their top 4 players the this game and through the state, both All State players. They played much more defensive the rest of the year. That doesn't make them overrated. It doesn't diminish CC either, they have a real good team and would have played West tough either way but to ignore the changes West had to deal with is just uninformed.

No doubt there are some really talented kids who can play up easily. West Jess has a point guard who has played varsity since 6th grade. Super talented, lightening quick, fun to watch, but so tiny as a 6th grader. She's older now and did fine but at the time you were afraid she'd be squashed. I know we want to maintain competitive skills and a continuous level of development for the players but safety and other things are issues are at play as well. Maybe have a 1 year play up rule where you have to be 8th to play Freshman/JV and 9th to play varsity. Like others have said you can always use AAU for other development for the ones who need more than school can provide

Dont forget West was playing without one of their best defenders who was lost for the season with an injury and without one of their top playmaker who was out this game with an ankle. Still very good but nowhere near full strength
