I'm hearing that the Ironton Fighting Tigers (OH) will be facing the Beechwood Tigers on 11 Sep. This fills Irontons schedule for this coming season. I can't wait to see this game. Ironton will be loaded in the backfield and a good portion of the Line returning, should be a much improved Fighting Tiger Team from last year. How is Beechwood looking to be this year, how many returning starters do they have from the State semi finals Team from last season?

I thought the Tank would have been packed for this game, I saw a picture during the game and it didn't look like there was 100 Rams fans there, unless they were setting on the home side The game will be aired several times this week on the Ironton Tribune’s website, and locally on Time Warner channel 25, and Armstrong Cable channels 4 and 100.

I don't know about holding us to 120 yards Rushing, maybe. Jackson (9-0) held us to 240 Rushing and 80 Passing and they are probably the best Team we played all year. They are ranked #8 in D3 (4A in KY) and they were pretty quick with good size, their LB is going to play at Stanford next year. Friday is getting closer, this is going to be a great game. GO TIGERS........

Does Raceland have a speed advantage? We was able to matchup pretty well with the speed of Baker and Long from Ashland. We held Baker to 70 yards and Long to 60 yards Rushing using our speed to contain them.

He does a great job if you ever want to look up anything. Racelands Passing game is what I'm afraid of, not our strong suite although a little better than last year. We have a CB that is a SR and hadn't played Varsity Football until this year, he's turned out to be a heck of a CB, I wish he had played the last couple years. He's had 3 or 4 INT's and can hit a pretty good lick.

He's only a JR this year, He has 1245 yards rushing and 108 yards Receiving in 8 games.

A few Offensive stats: 8 games Rushing - 357-2586 = 7.2 yards per carry Passing -- 33-61-614 = 18.6 yards per reception Points per game for----- = 32.9 Points per game allowed = 22.9 Ironton is Division 5 - Raceland is Division 6 in Ohio We have played: 1 Division 2 Team and won 25-24 2 Division 3 Teams and won 1 and lost 1 - the loss was 33-21 to Jackson (9-0) and ranked 8th in D3 (108 schools in D3) 3 Division 4 Teams, won all 3 2 Division 5 Teams, won 1 and lost 1. Lost to Wheelersburg in the 1st game of the year 42-16 (a lot of changes were made after that game and has helped a lot)

We actually have 2 stud FB's, both are great blockers but rarely run the ball. I don't know of either one being injured. One of them plays mostly LB on Defense. Our backfield is our bright spot, we are fairly deep back there.

The system looks confusing but it's really not that hard, it's harder to explain on here than it really is. I guess we're all used to it, it's been this way for years in OH.

Yes, if you play a big KY school that ends up with a good record you make out pretty good. Ashland for instance is a D3 school in Ohio, we get 5.5 points for each game they win where as you play a D3 Team in Ohio with the same record as Ashland they might play lower Division schools which would equate to less points.

Out of State Teams that we beat the level 2 points for each win is based off of what the level 1 points are, example: Russell = D4 in Ohio which is 5 level 1 points, so each win they have we get 5 level 2 points. 8 wins = 40 level 2 points In State Teams that we beat the level 2 points are based on the Team that you beats oppnants Division that they beat, example: Portsmout won 2 games, 1 against a division 5 Team = 4.5 points and 1 win against a Division 5 Team = 5 points for a total of 9.5 level 2 points.
