I look for it to be much tougher for St Henry to make Regionals now.... Dixie is almost always solid, Ludlow will be much stronger and more consistent under Coach Gray and Lloyd should not be overlooked either. I think the only team that keeps a streak going in that group is Dixie.

That's why I'd personally be shocked if Coach Sanders or Coach Gray would be the least bit interested. Unless one of them has some personal history with the school that I'm not aware of.

Why would Sanders or Gray apply? They both seem happy where they are... Doesn't sound like this is a mess they would want to get involved in IMO.

6 coaches in 5 seasons just seems really wrong.... I have no idea as to what the reason is.... But, clearly something needs to change. That's just really unfortunate and unfair to the players.

Could be... And I hear that Ludlow is losing a basketball player to Dixie this year as well. I guess next will be a soccer, then softball and volleyball. Lol

Just got a text from a buddy at the Underclass games at UK... Says Borman and Slone are on the same team... Both went 1 for 2 with singles.... Slone at SS and Borman played lf and rf... Said they play another game later.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure all of PBR's events are for unsigned kids only. Although verbal commitment does not mean signed. The BW kids and/or schools can still back out of a verbal commitment at anytime.

Yeah, heard he has 2 fractures under the eye, but they won't need surgery. He was suppose to pitch in the Underclass games...but hasn't been cleared by docs to be on the mound just yet. He's apparently cleared to play SS and hit, etc. Sounds like he's been recovering quickly, lucky kid!

Evan Slone (Ludlow) suffered a serious injury last night in Columbus, Ohio. He was pitching and had a line drive hit back at him off his face... Similar to Aroldis Chapman earlier this season. Reports are that he has 2 fractures below the right eye. Let's all keep him in our thoughts!

Anyway, back on point with what this thread was intended for... Let's give props to the sophomore kids that were named in the Enquirer Spring Sports Awards. Congrats to all! I saw those games at Thomas More... Good teams. Cincinnati Astros played Flames and then ATY played the Stix. All 4 clubs had solid players.

Agree it is a short porch... But 270 ft is further than most would think when they see the field, prob due to the all dirt infield. And again, been watching games there for over 15 years and even lefties have hit very few home runs in that time. Really just an FYI meant for Sportsfan and Hellbird... I don't PM people on here. And they seemed to think a routine fly ball can easily turn into a hr at Ludlow... Which the facts point out, it rarely happens. Same at Bellevue's field. I've heard people say how easy it is to hit home runs there. And truth is, there have been 5 or 6 total hit there in the last 3 years as well.

The only comparison I was making is if a short fence in the pros is acceptable, so should a short fence in high school be accepted. IMO, a 270 ft hit by a kid is more impressive than a 300 ft hit by a grown man hall of famer... That's all.
