  1. Ensworth Brentwood Male Ballard PRP St. Xavier Lafayette Jeffersontown Eastern Seneca
  2. all this tells me is two of the coaches in the district are choosing not to vote for a particular school's kids...please tell me you guys are not that naive..."talent" is probably not the word that comes to mind...I'm not saying that the other school's kids can't play, but the best front 7 in the state has two of those kids selected to the all-district team...TWO! what a joke...
  3. Trinity will play Ensworth and Brentwood from TN to open the season
  4. As for Damon Lowe: 52 D Lowe 5 1 5.5 3.0/7 22-Time State Champion Trinity Shamrocks - (Louisville, KY) - powered by LeagueLineup.com As for the late score for Dixie, I agree that it really does not matter what the opposing coach does in a running clock situation...This is something Lucas has done at Manual many times, calling timeouts, onside kicks, et al. and shows that the other team is playing for much different reasons than winning the game...
  5. I will agree that Scott Co. probably has the best wing-t offense in the state that i've seen thus far...but in the game you mentioned, they amassed a whopping 5 first downs and 0 points in the second half...their defense was tough and Trinity was without Quick and had a sick Dalyn Dawkins at RB...kudos to them for putting up the good fight...
  6. only thing I remember about that team was Gabe Stone...that guy was a freakish athlete...
  7. i am very familiar with the principles of wing-t and it's looks...I am also familiar with the MC wing-t that Mofield has been using this year...Trust me when I say that Lowe, Carolla and Foos will be very familiar names to the MC public address announcer when it is over...Beatty and Cobb have seen many wing-t offenses in Texas, Missouri and Kentucky in their 35 years coaching ball, so unless the Greenwave offense has somehow morphed into an unknown quantity with vastly superior players, I am very confident in my assessment
  8. Can't imagine this is a tough game after 2 quarters...no disrespect to MC, but they have never seen an offense like Trinity's...Multiple formations and personnel groupings, constant front adjustments on the defensive side and a spread offense that is taught by the offensive coordinator all over the country...There is a reason Beatty hasn't lost this game in 12 tries and there is a reason 22 banners hang in Marshall Stadium...i know that sounds arrogant, but I can't remember a team that runs Wing-T staying competitive with Trinity for long...
  9. Were they playing "smashmouth" football against 2-8 5A North Hardin???
  10. I don't think there's any doubt Wolford knows football and knows how to sell kids on X...I think his main priorities for this year should be developing the talent they have to build his depth and to instill a core discipline that Glaser's teams always seemed to display...He has had solid kids like Rowan, Houk and McCormick and will continue to get more...that's just how it is over there... Honestly though, Im not sure Wolford is really capable of doing this. It seems more and more he is placing coaches on his staff as favors to get the kids and is disregarding the fact that they need to be quality coaches first. I'm not going to bore anyone with what Trinity has on their coaching staff, other than Beatty has always spoke very highly of his staff and that "one good coach should equal 10 great players" if they're doing their job. Actual football coaching must be a priority there for the Tigers to regain what they had...I know it is a priority to keep Tigers in the fold, but it doesn't look good with Glaser taking constant shots at the current administration and seemingly cutting off the pipeline of alumni that could take these jobs... With the constant turnover in the infancy of his staff, coupled with his outside issues now, Wolford seems destined to be swallowed up by the job he may or may not have even wanted in the first place...It is good for football when St. X is a contender, but we may be seeing the "Kragthorpe Years" for the Tigers...
  11. i don't necessarily agree with the whole statement but the fact is, St. Xavier has a long way to go to get to where Trinity is now...Male had a great team last year, but the issues Trinity had were more to do with scheme/coaching, not talent or depth... Male will be good again and Trinity's new scheme and defensive staff will have them in the right direction...I'm not sold on the Tigers and Wolford
  12. Jay Cobb is Defensive Coordinator, formerly of Somerset and most recently West Brook (TX) HS Nathan Leslie is new Defensive Line coach, formerly of Ballard LB coach to replace Matt Deeds was just hired a few days ago, no names yet Devian Logan remains on staff as secondary coach Also, Trinity will switch to a 3-4 scheme with many variables to it, much in line with what Alabama, Steelers, etc. run i'm told
