  3. Nothing wrong with uk#1fan "blowing" these kids up. It's a matter of opinion as to how he feels about a players potential. And besides, any player who sees the positive posts by ukfan about them as a player, is going to feel honored and motivated to be the best of the best. It means a lot to hear positive feedback about you as a player from someone you don't know...who is a fan in the stand.
  4. Markie Rider attended the Offense and Defense camp last summer held at Thomas Moore College and won 2 MVP awards. 1 for Running Back and 1 for Line Backer. This award is also a personal invite to an "Elite" Camp in Georgia, and a personal invite to play in "The All American Bowl" held this year in Orlando, FL. During Markie's game today in "The All American Bowl" he scored the first touch down for his team as Running Back And also had several defensive tackles on Defense. Markie played for South Kenton for 8 years. He played Fullback, Running Back, Middle Line Backer, Inside Line Backer, Kicker. And the 8th year at South Kenton he was QB, Running Back, Inside Line Backer, and Kicker. As a freshman at Simon Kenton he played 1st string Line Backer, and was back-up QB. I am sure we will see great things with him and the Simon Kenton Football program!
  5. Actually all of Cherry Hill is not a Kenton County. For example Peach Tree Lane is Boone County- which drives through cherry hill out to queens way. Cedar tree is Kenton and Boone county. The first half is Boone the other half is Kenton. I use to live on Cedar Tree. Most if the kids back in Cherry Hill went to Dixie, Boone, St Henry, and Mary Queen Of Heaven
  6. Unfortunately, Fire Inside is correct. I hate to agree but there was a kid that didn't get to play last night. Unfortunately I overheard the dad going off on a coach about it. Now was it due to the player being over looked, the player standing behind other players, I don't know. It did happen just not sure why. Pretty sure the coach has been decent about getting players in. Hopefully it was just an over-sight.
  7. I think I have heard it all now. Did someone really ask "why the Freshman Championship was important" Let's turn the question back around and say WHY NOT? This is about the players! It's on the schedule as a Championship Game. ITS A SCHEDULED GAME! I don't care if Ryle was undefeated this season. Teams get better with each game they play; which makes for an intense championship game. Do you realize how many teams would love to be practicing for the championship? Sorry but the season isn't over until AFTER the SCHEDULED Championship game. What about the players who busted their butt all season to get to the Championship Game? I ask WHY NOT play them! I say we have a playoff game! Let's get the top 4 teams this season and have a playoff game. I guarantee the outcome will not be the same as it is now. Teams do get better, competition gets fierce. Then maybe the Championship Game can be played by 2 teams who are actually honored to be there. I agree CCH should dress and practice until Championship Game day, this shows true sportsmanship! And in the mean time let's spread the word on every social media outlet and to every school in NKY. Let's have a huge fan base show up to support CCH on Championship Game day!

  9. It is Boone Co. Half of Cherry Hill Subdivision is Boone the other half is Kenton. Part of Donaldson Hwy is Boone Co.
  10. I'm not saying that's what they are doing. I'm trying to find out what makes their football program the best of the best. Is it the youth programs that feed into the High Schools, is it the coaching? Explain to me what it is. In NKY we have youth football programs that feed into the high schools, and we have middle school football programs that feed into the high school programs. And it can't be because Louisville has "owned" the 6A division for many years. What makes it a "different level of football." How?
  11. Ok but none of these posts answers my question... What makes Louisville football a better program... And I'm saying Louisville because that is what everyone says when a school from the 6A division (NKY) goes to the playoffs. Other than post #2 by Clyde no one really is able to answer this. Although I do agree with Clyde... So basically we are dealing with recruiting the best of the best to go to a few good schools in Louisville. Correct?
  12. Ok, I'm more of a sit back and read kind of person. But I have to say reading some of the threads lately comparing NKY High School Football to Louisville High School Football has really not set well with me. We all know Louisville has a phenomenal football program. Why? What sets Louisville High School Football apart from NKY High School Football? Why is it when a NKY high school is doing well and makes it to play-offs the one common comment mention will be "wait til they play the Louisville teams" I would love to hear feedback on this and see what other opinions are about this.
