  1. Any word on the JV score for Holmes / WV?
  2. Two exciting games at Cooper yesterday. Any scores for JV tournament games? Dixie Heights 32, Boone County 31 Bishop Brossart defeats NCC
  3. Anyone catch this game? Interesting after Cooper comes off 2 nice wins vs. Boone and Conner.
  4. I'd say Clyde was being just a bit sarcastic, Panda.
  5. Also note that this was by far the best officiated game of the short season! Well done by Perry Wing, Time Reed and Robert Burkhardt Jr.
  6. The officiating is simply out of control. If it is NCAA that high school officials are attempting to replicate, then do so. However, the average NCAA basketball game consists of 40 fouls in 40 minutes. The #1 ranked team in personal fouls per game (PFPG) averages 13 fouls per game while the #300 ranked team averages 22 fouls per game. Even the high side is manageable for a fan to watch but nearly 2 fouls per minute is simply overkill on the whistle. So far this season, most varsity games have averaged approximately 50 fouls in 32 minutes, nearly double of the NCAA which they are attempting to replicate. I hope at some point common sense will rise to the top and we can get back to watching basketball.
  7. Club volleyball is not just a money grab. I will say not all clubs (and coaches within the same club) are equal. Nearly every varsity player on the court will be playing club. And those freshman and sophomores that expect to make an impact will as well. Coaches can only do so much in 6 weeks —time from tryouts to 1st game— so if they are starting at ground zero, it's simply too much to ask of any coach. Good luck!
