  1. I don't really like to gauge much from 7 on 7's except for the athleticism of the skills. Putting it together on friday nights has so many other factors. But the buzz is that FD stands a chance to be a contender so that statement does not surprise me.
  2. 1st overall ind. Gideon ( Ryle ) 2nd overall ind. Cleveland ( Ryle) Guess that was enough to get them over the top for the team win also.
  3. Good competitive pairing.
  4. Just watched some of the hudl film from yesterdays 7 on 7. Conner has some athletic receivers who were able to get open enough to be productive. Only real issue was they had the drops all day. If they can clean up catching the ball they may have a very productive pass offense. Qb was not bad at all, lacks some zip at times, was short on a few longer throws but good touch and ball placement on the short to intermediate stuff. The defense wanted the ball, they were not satisfied just covering the man. I was impressed with their effort and fire. You can tell these guys want to win. Good to see.
  5. Absolutely. Not only is his aim accurate but to pace your kick with the right tempo to get the ball there just as your guys do is an art form in itself. He's just a good solid all around kicker. Side note he has been spotting in at some safety had a pic in spring ball and one in the 7 on 7 the other day. He's a kicker but he really has the ability to play other positions as an athlete. I think the coach realizes how valuable having a kicker like that is so I expect the only time we would see Mason in a live game at safety is in the event of a plethora of injuries and he would have to be the last man standing.
  6. Drive? I always lived in walking districts. Maybe drove a ten speed to the school....lol
  7. Any word on how that went.. Curious I went to Wyoming a few years. One of the best div 4's in the state.
  8. Very true we onside or pooch 50% of the time. I witnessed him almost putting it through the uprights on kickoffs numerous times during spring ball. He will have no issues with putting it in the endzone if asked to do so. The reason we onside so much is because he has been one of the best onside kickers in high school that personally I have seen. We have gotten lots of extra possessions because of his ability to put the ball with a good bounce in the right spot giving us a chance to hustle to the ball.
  9. My older son played for Coach Hawkins on the 8th Gr. FBU kentucky team some years ago. He really enjoyed playing for him. They made it all the way to the Alamo Dome to the quarter finals. I really liked coach Hawkins and his style of coaching. I have nothing but respect for Coach Hawkins and wish him the best. Apollo really got a good man and a great leader for their young men.
  10. I'm aware of Jared's foot, hope he is doing well at Lindsey still! Mason still has this year to adds to the record book. It will all depend on if we stall out in the red zone or we finish drives on whether it's pat's or field goals. Just curious if Jared's stats are recorded can they still be added even if the " clown " didn't send them in. If he is that high he deserves his recognition. What has impressed me about Mason is his commitment to his craft. I have watched him the last three years grow because of constant work. He has kicked year around and has willed himself to get better. He was always accurate but his kicking strength has grown immensely. Most kids get stronger with age and that is to be expected but he has put in the extra work that have helped him maximize his abilities.
  11. This is a very nice article about Mason Molique. He has the chance to kick his way further up the list in the state record book this year. Mason has worked hard and never met a kicking camp he didn't like or show well in. During spring ball we were working on special teams and Mason was trying to kick field goals on his kickoffs, he nearly made a few missing only by feet short or wide. 12. Mathias Cusick may be in the 2nd or 3rd spot at Rb or could be a backup Cb. My son said there may be a few others but till the season kicks back up it's hard to tell... Yes the Juniors are pretty loaded and a big class numbers and size wise.
  13. At slot I believe he may see some PT, heard he is coming off an acl or something of that nature. Has a brace on.
  14. Congrats and good luck.
  15. 16 Seniors 19 Juniors Good core to build with.
  16. Love this...
  17. Calm before the storm.. Louisville is about to start blazing... Lot's of kids here.. About time to compete and see where we fit in the competition.
  18. Heading to U of L camp with Kyle England today... UC camp tomorrow.. Hope everyone is putting in work, staying healthy. Remember it's what you do when no one is watching that makes the difference.
  19. Just watched his hudl. The one thing that stick out for me is his motor. Aside from the obvious athletic attributes he has, this kid when blocking, pursuing runners, or line play never let's up. One word description is RELENTLESS. Heck of a ball player.
  20. It's camp month I hope all the kids are ready to go showcase what they got. Good luck to all and stay healthy.
