  1. Buy a ticket and get over yourselves... I'll be the first to lift up Ryle if they win. Good athletes on both sides of the ball...
  2. Keep telling yourself Dixeie isn't preparing well for a very good Ryle team... Apologies for the Dixie blowhards... Not that you have been held to your own critique ever....:jump:
  3. Believing in the Dixie Heights Colonels and at games end a mutually healthy pod of 6A District 6 student/athletes... :thumb:
  4. No disrespect taken AlbertFT, however let me be clear. I think your misinformed or lack an objective eye when it comes to evaluating talent based on, "they are not starting offense." Going to be a very good, hard fought football game in Union. Looking forward to seeing how the non-starters do against the Raiders! :thumb:
  5. Randy...you've been in Dads tobacco again? Miss St. by 4+ scores and that's being kind!
  6. This...Luke Zajac is #27 for the Dixie Heights Colonels and you are correct Phantom. Luke is the guy you want to be in the foxhole with going into battle. High motor, leads by example, and I know of numerous athletes who through the course of this season have had to buy new athletic supporters haven fallen victim to #27s "fleet of footness." He also has a very mean stiff arm... More importantly please note Dixie Heights is very aware of Ryles emergence, hard nosed approach, and by all means we respect and know what the Raiders are capable of... The Colonels will be working diligently this week to prepare for a good battle against the Raiders on their home turf! Go Dixie Heights Colonels...:thumb:
  7. I did hear the drop of a microphone at 8:58p this evening! :lol2:
  8. Painful to watch, nontheless comment on hence my absence from the update thread! :ohbrother:
  9. Your definition of success or what is good will differ than many. Providing perspective is key. Realize Dixie Heights is a team that for two consecutive seasons went 3-8 prior to last years 8-4 team. Considering we are now 7-1, have beaten an sk team who beat us twice last year, and continue to improve weekly and execute...progress continues to be made in the Dixie Heights camp. As a Highlands fan your gauge of what is good realistically is skewed compared to most...:lol2: State titles, tradition, complete program buy in minus a few critics internally. We've discussed this previously. We Dixie Heights Colonels will not go over-the-top with propaganda and chest beating to promote our team. There is no need for me as a parent, fan, and team advocate to substantiate our "goodness." Buy a ticket, come witness for yourself and draw your own conclusions. We're simply mindful, thankful, and honored to see a great group of kids excel, grow, and prepare for future success on and off the field. Coach Brossart and his staff have been a blessing to these kids and vice versa. Go Dixie Heights Colonels...:thumb:
  10. Showing up fashionably late for the thread. I've been busy with the Colonel Family celebrating our win. Congratulations to the Dixie Heights Colonels on a very good victory. These young men continue to improve weekly, execute, and win... Important to salute both teams this evening who clearly have a lot of respect for one another and showed a lot of class in many series tonight picking each other up off the field. Great sportmanship boys and keep that up! :thumb: Have fun celebrating, be safe, and have a great Homecoming! HARD WORK, TEAM, FAMILY...DIXIE HEIGHTS FOOTBALL!!! Back to the party... :dancingpa
  11. Gameday... The weather is going to be fantastic this evening across the tri-state. Looking forward to seeing a lot of good football players on both squads battle at Dixie Heights tonight. I'm going to lift up both squads in prayer for an injury free game and ideal outcomes. I might lift up the Dixie Heights Colonels for home field advantage in the playoffs more than sk....:lol2: Have a great evening folks...high school football this time of the year, it is fantastic!!! :thumb:
  12. Holy beer bottle mass on those antlers...cheers to your son harvesting this dandy and providing you with pics to share with us! :thumb:
  13. Going to enjoy reading and either shaking my head at, or laughing at a lot of posts on this thread this week. I do know the tendency of a couple SK fans who are the self proclaimed propaganda arm of the pioneers who will pound their chests and type "hear me roar all week." I'll ask Dixie fans to not get sucked into the trash talk and focus on the merits of our Dixie Heights Colonels who continue to get better each week, execute game plan, and win. As for all the rest of you..... you are invited to Rice Mountjoy Stadium Friday to witness a battle for the 6A NKY District Championship. It's going to be a good one. I'm believing in the Dixie Heights Colonels! :thumb:
  14. Just got back from the game and here's my .2 cents... + Dalton, after the INT overthrowing Gresham in the 3rd Quarter made some nice throws in the 10-25 yard range which is not in his wheel house. We've been dinking and dunking to mask his inefficiency and it's what opposing defenses are giving us. + Gresham had his best day yet this season and didn't fumble the ball after YAC. + DBs didn't give up too much and made some nice plays. - Burfict, as stated earlier, is not long for this league. He will pickle himself if he continues to lead with the helmet. He has an even bigger target on his back by the NFLs officiating crews. - Burficts pass coverage...blew coverage on a couple occasions the one time allowing a TD as a result. - Someone teach these defensive lineman/OLBs how to defend the read option. There are high school players who defend it better than the Bengals. Cam Newton had a field day taking advantage of our "lack of skill set/knowledge." As a fan of football Newton is one cool customer and he was a lot of fun to watch. The sideline routes, nearly always to the right, was there all day and the Panthers took advantage. He threw many balls on a rope in 2nd and 3rd and long situations with success. That accompanied with the read option was the difference.....and a MISSED FG to win it! I feel bad for Nugent, this team, and we the fans. I "kiss your sister" tie sucks anyone you cut it, but it happened and we'll live to play another day. Panther kicker is a beast and I'm sure there are a few more out there who would serve the Bengals better than Nugent is this season. I do think the Bengals will keep Nugent for the remainder of this season. However, he may speed that departure up if he continues to struggle. 3-1-1 beats 3-2....Go Bengals! :thumb:
  15. Thank you to James Adams and Tristate Football... Tri-State Football - Articles :thumb:
  16. Congrats to sk on the "psuedo " win...
  17. As I stated earlier this week, I have lot of respect for the Camels and Coach Lickert. They are a well disciplined, hard nosed team. A big tip of the cap to the Dixie Heights Colonels defense this evening...Camels QB was the #1 rusher in NKY!!!
  18. Best post of the year for this guy... I'm gonna be upset if I don't get a hug from you next Friday!
  19. Note to all, come join the Dixie Heights Colonels as we host the neers next Friday... Believing in a very good group of student/athletes who believe in HARD WORK, FAMILY, TEAM, DIXIE PRIDE. One game at a time Colonels...:thumb:
