I think that if Central can "see the ball go through the net" early they will have a chance to pull the upset. They have to avoid a poor start. Is Ballard BIG? I watched the Region Championship against Manual and they crashed the boards on both ends. Douglas looked pretty tall. According to KHSAA Sheldon Clark beat East Ridge 64-45 on Dec. 9. Also, South Floyd has 1 Region Title: 2001 they beat Allen Central. 15th, I don't know how you do it! I feel though with JC getting beat in the finals of the district they will come out with FIRE in the eyes!! I look for them to win by a bigger margin in all 3 of their games. In the notes section of the 57th District 2) it is noted that PAINTSVILLE "has not defeated any opponent (Summer Ball, District Play, Regular Season Play) since the Summer of 2008? This not true... They have 15 wins this year! They defeated Johnson Central, Sheldon Clark and Magoffin Co. in district play. Not sure what point you were trying to make? They have not won a district tournament game since 2012. However, the statement above needs to be re evaluated.

The favorite has to be Johnson Central. However, you are right several teams could win it! Prestonsburg is very athletic, (Williams, Jarrell & Frasier) but would have to play WAY over their heads to beat Johnson Central with their talent (Hall, Blair ect...). Pikeville & Pike Co Central is an old rivalry from the 59th district days and for that reason could be a good game, but PCC would have to play GREAT to win over (Rowe, Kasongo & company). The bottom bracket will be a dog fight! Betsy Layne & Sheldon Clark should be a good game, with guard play deciding the outcome. Belfry & East Ridge being a game of guard play (Miller) vs big man (Messer) deciding this one. If Johnson Central & Pikeville advance it will setup a great semi finals round no matter who advances in bottom bracket two games the teams will be evenly matched. In the finals the winner between Johnson Central/Pikeville will be the favorite but at that point it only takes one good game to get you to Rupp. Could be VERY interesting!!!
