I agree. I watched highlands scrimmage Conner, and Conner had depth at each position. Very talented team. Had at least 15 solid players

Good to see the girls finally get on the dirt. Highlands has a good core group of players and will continue to get better. Conner has depth at each position and will be a challenge for most everyone.

I am interested in how Highlands performs against Conner. No one has mentioned anything about Conner, but I am sure they will be a strong team. We will see soon, if all the hype is real

should have been scrimmaging in the winter, when we had good weather...lol

I believe Boone, Ryle, Conner, and St. Henry will all be stronger TEAMS than ND

How did crowding the plate work for NCC in the region. No earned runs with 11 K's 3 hits Conner won 10-1

I was not making reference who the #1 draft pick was, only who the best pitcher was last year for Ryle. And yes smith has more all around skill than crupper, but not as a pitcher last year.

Smith was not the pitcher last year that she was two years ago. And you don't pitch your #2 pitcher every game at state. I saw both girls pitch and Crupper was no doubt the right choice. Smith got opportunities early and did not pitch as well as expected. Look at what happened with Conner. First game was Smith and everyone hit the ball well. Other 3 games was Crupper, and not many girls made good contact. Big difference

Anyone that saw both crupper and smith pitch last year, there was no question that crupper had better stuff. She threw harder and had better movement. When you get to state, you play your best pitcher and put her on the mound every chance, and crupper was that player. I saw both girls pitch this year and no question who was the better pitcher. But still smith is a good pitcher and will help ND

Smith was not even Ryle's #1. Smith had a good year two years agos, but Crupper carried the team with her pitching last year. Huge difference from one year to the next

yes, playing a strong schedule helps the team and makes them more prepared for tough games at the end of the season.
