Great Stuff! We all get on here and talk X's and O's Jimmys and Joes Best teams and best coaches But we should never forget that whether a young man plays on the best team in the state or the worst one, the experiences of team unity, hard work and the journey itself creates a lifetime of great memories for the players. I am going to say one way or another he is gone after this year. All signs point to he accepted this position but then somehow his mind was swayed. Can't blame a guy for looking out for his own situation, but this didn't exactly go over smoothly. Now that everyone knows he was looking, it is a matter of time before it rears it's head again-

PT will be fine in time, sure we stand a chance to lose some games at the first of the season, but no one expects just because we have a new coach we will win every game until the end of time. Barber will prove to be a great leader, and with the upcoming talent we have in the program now, look for PT to make a marked improvement. There has been a whole lot of speculation and much improvisation on the whole Rodgers/Wyatt situation, but that ship has sailed and it is gone, so all we can do is move forward. I liked Rodgers as a person, and he did some good things but he is gone now and we have a coach in place that understands the heart and soul of what PT football was like at its highest level, so we move forward with a very good staff. PT will look to go fast and hard on offense under Treece, and if you ever saw Kurt Barber play defense-you can imagine how they will progress in that area. PT may indeed be young, inexperienced, and small; but Barber has already "recruited the halls" and in time I believe you will see a marked improvement in the program as a whole.

Several of the coaches are already in place. And they are conducting spring practice. I believe they are just finishing out the formalities on their positions in the school system. I believe they will have all positions filled within a week or two. Looking to shape up to be a great staff.

I love how people are judging a coach before he ever holds his first practice. Now if you want to talk pathetic.........

Not really worried about it now, I think the Wyatt you saw as a head coach will not be the same situation as a coordinator under Barber. Barber is calling the shots from top to bottom this time. As far as Barber moving down, it may be perceived as that but he went from UNLV, to WKU to get closer to home. When WKU cleaned house of all their coaches he went to Campbellsville to work with Perry Thomas, another local acquaintance. Barber is a stand-up guy and you will see his input on the field and in the community. He will be a positive influence on the kids. Give the guy a chance and don't judge him on anything else.
