  1. You can also check with Marilyn Mitchell at the KHSAA. It was offered for sale as a 2 VHS tape set. I donated my copy to Trinity recently.
  2. No Warren Central, KY or IN version.:idunno:
  3. Yes indeed. It took a Trinity guy to start this thread. I believe the nine games Trinity has scheduled is somewhat superior to the Wolford Waltz through Jefferson County, Warren County, and Fayette County.
  4. Because their beehive stadium is too small to handle the Trinity contingent.
  5. How do you figure, Sports Fan? OPEN, Carmel, Lawrence Central, Colerain, OPEN, Cathedral, St. Xavier, Manual, Male, Marist, and Moeller.
  6. Newsflash:Northern KY has -0- 6A titles. 52 total titles in past 10 years were decided in the KHSAA playoff system. Louisville: 15 titles in past 10 years. I will take Trinity 8, St. Xavier 2, and Central 5 against the rest of the Commonwealth. Northern KY 16 titles in past 10 years- including 5 in 1A and 2 in 2A. Lexington and Boyle County/Danville should be together in my geographical book: 8 combined. (3 for Lex, 5 for Boyle/Danville/Mercer Co) Western KY : 8 titles Eastern Ky: 5 including Bell Co. That's my late night slant.
  7. Now the REUNION committees can battle over which home games they will choose for their events!
  8. I am very happy to see Simon Kenton "step up" to play NCC.
  9. JV and frosh should end up with 8 or 9 games each. Ballard and Trinity couldn't get together on a date per Coach Jackson. Central insists on a true home game. That is not happening. Mr. Wyman(director of all athletics/activities for JCPS) has an informal rule that he must give permission for any JCPS team to play a varsity football contest. ADs apparently fear him. I can see both sides of the dilemna. Playing a 2 game series for the sake of it when you know it will not be competitive at the varsity level may not be the wisest thing to do. Trinity has chosen to make due on the income they can generate with a nine game schedule.
  10. at Lawrence Central, at Carmel and home to Cathedral. 2014, road trips to Cincy twice, Chicago, and Indy.
  11. I like their confidence including all rounds of playoffs on the schedule. I imagine opening at Soldier Field is awesome.
  12. I believe Trinity is still a game short. Thanks Guru. It is a shame Rockpride or All Tell couldn't bring us the news.
  13. Marist is probably a little better than Fairdale. I see a lenghty return trip.
  14. St. Xavier really needs to concern themselves with two dates on Trinity's schedule. The Shamrocks could play Central if the Yellowjackets would play at a neutral site. I believe the Trinity fans could fill up both sides of Central's home field.
  15. This is another great thread about the Bluebirds. Wait a minute, it doesn't have a thing to do with the Bluebirds. It must be about the Bombers. :puke: Nope, they won't play the Rocks either in a regular season contest. The Bluebirds have an excuse. The Bombers, not so much. I suppose Trinity is THANKFUL for the scrimmage with the 'birds. :meh: I hope Trinity charges regular season prices for the scrimmage like the good folks at Fort Thomas did last year!:idunno:
  16. I stopped watching iHigh at 38-23 Ballard with 6 minutes remaining in the third. Apparently a major meltdown suffered by the Bruins. The Bruins will be heavy favorites to return to the Sweet Sixteen next season. That makes 4 runner-up finishes under Renner to go with the one title in his first season at the helm.
  17. The season began with official team lifting the first week of October. Trinity participated in three events leading up to the state meet. They lifted against St. Xavier 2/9. They travelled to Spencer County 2/16. They participated in the Holy Cross "Sport" meet in which the clean, the curl, and bench press were contested on 2/23. St. X competed against Trinity, held an intrasquad meet, and then competed yesterday. DeSales and Holy Cross only permit football players. St. Xavier currently does not allow football players to lift. Former Head Coach Mike Glaser feared his players could injure themselves. It will be interesting to see if Coach Wolford changes this policy. Trinity had over 100 come out, including the football players once their season ended. The team was split into competitive and non-competitive groups.
  18. Trinity's JV team won their division. Madisonville was runner up. I am unaware of any other activity that acknowledges a JV State champion. Varsity: North Bullitt, Trinity, ( I don't recall third), St. Xavier. The event began at 7:30AM with weigh-ins and ended at 5:30PM with the last trophy presentation! The actual meet started around 10:00AM and ended at 3:00PM. It took two hours for tourney folks to tabulate the scores. It was $10.00 for each contestant and $5.00 for fans. 6 and under were free :-). Participants come and go. Trigg County, Manual, Ballard (few in numbers) used to compete. Yesterday, Holy Cross, Spencer County, Bullitt Central, North Bullitt, Bullitt East, Montgomery County, Madisonville, Fort Knox (also fields the only girls team in the area, I understand there is one other in the state) Trinity and St. Xavier competed.
  19. You younger Tigers do not recognize the name of your field at Thomas More Stadium. That is an insult to Mr. Young and to many St. Xavier Alumni. I knew Mr. Young and know his two sons personally.
  20. Anyway you spin it, the Bombers bailed out on Trinity, as did Elder, Brentwood Acdemy and MBA, and you can add Bowling Green and Highlands and the entire 6A KY group northern Kentucky schools from recent seasons. The Indy schools the Bombers picked up had a tough time scoring points last season. According to a prominent Trinity Alumnus, the Rocks picked up the Indiana 5A champs as well as the 4A champs and 'the other" Indiana big school power not named Warren Central or Ben Davis. This season should be MUCH easier for the big schools in Cincy to qualify for the playoffs since their division was cut in half (7 divisons replaces 6)and they are competing with 50% fewer schools.
  21. Look, the Bombers lost one RB to injury two years ago and could not get it done on Paul M Young Field versus an average St. Xavier squad. The Bombers cannot afford to take this game for granted. Of course, if the Tigers prevail, the Bombers may decide to decline future encounters. The Bombers may even buyout the contract and invite Simon Kenton to Tom Tallaban Field.
