  1. I definitely think Nolan Klein (BCHS senior) is someone to keep an eye on. Had a severe injury to his left arm last year but this kid is an amazing hitter with an absolute cannon at 3rd. Better not put the ball in his wheelhouse!
  2. No problems at all. This site is about putting your opinions out there. That's all we're doing here. I love a good argument anyway so come at me!! ?
  3. I'm still not totally convinced on Cooper's hitting. We all know AJ and Jared can hit pretty well but outside that I feel like they're all so young. Lawhorn should be okay but I would be opposed to saying Boone's (Klein, Ganns, Huff) hitting is up to par with Cooper
  4. Just to add on to that list, they had Austin Brake, Dustin Herrmann, and Brady Smiley on Ray's Dragons team all of which turned out to be solid pitcher (until austin quit). If you ask me, Ray Brake is one of the best coaches around for that junior high age. So good at teaching mechanics
  5. Big Congratulations to Cameron on his committment to the University of Kentucky! Go Big Blue!!!
  6. Don't get me wrong, Herrmann is a solid player. It's either take Blaise's superior fielding skills or Dustin's superior batting ability. Either way, I think it's a good choice for Arlo.
  7. From what I've seen it looks like Hart and Harshbarger catching, Padgett at 1b, Henry at 2b, Williams and Maines at ss & 3b and ross in lf, fogle in cf and blaise in rf. it appears Herrmann has a fight for PT, he may be a pitcher only
  8. I've actually heard rumours of Cameron Ross playing outfield and Padgett moving to 1st base because Conner doesn't have one. Conner is deep at outfield with Fogle, Ostertag, Ross, Padgett, Harshbarger, Herrmann, and Price
  9. Sophomore Blaise Ostertag should get some innings on a senior heavy Conner team. Heck of an outfielder with an absolute cannon!
  10. One of Cam's teammates from Conner's baseball told me he heard that from Fogle. So obviously it could be a little off but either way he deserves it! And being a UK fan I love what Stoops has done, more 4 star guys this year than in the last 6 combined
  11. Heard recently that UK is going to offer Fogle if they do not get the WR's they've already offered on NSD. I think Fogle would be a great slot guy for Brown in his air-raid offense. Wishing him the best!
  12. Real happy for Jimmy. Saw him play at Moeller some and he's a solid linebacker and a really good kid
  13. Actually, I'd like to see this. We all know that Brown, Maines, Cain, Dunn, Ganns, Tiberi will be solid pitchers but who is everyones favorite "under the radar" guy??
  14. I haven't heard a lot about Ryle on hear. I was thinking that they would have a very strong hitting team with Baumann, Plvan, Clarkson, and and a 1st baseman whose name escapes me
  15. That's my bad for not specifying. I was talking about the 1-4 in the batting order of Fogle, Williams, Maines, Padgett.
  16. As for the best fields in NKY, I think everyone knows that St. Henry takes the cake. Dixie and Cov Cath are two other really nice fields to watch baseball at. As for the worst. Boone County probably has the worst high school baseball field I've seen in a long time. With the football and soccer teams practicing on it, it has been torn to shreds. It also doesn't help that they don't work on it at all. Meiken and Conner are both awful fields. Conner shortstops have to be goalies as much as shortstops there and Meiken speaks for itself.
  17. I really like Ganns, Dunn, Maines, Cain, and Brown this year. These five are solid pitchers that have all thrown good over the past years. But I always like to think forward to any new names coming about. Collin Smith from Cooper should get some quality innings and be a solid 3rd man for the Jags. He's a big lefty that throws pretty good with good movement. Cameron Ross and Brady Smiley are a couple of kids from Conner that I really like. They are both long kids throwing in the low to mid 80s with nasty breaking stuff. I also Brandon Ward coming off of injury is going to make a huge difference for Cov Cath.
  18. I think Conner is going to be the top team in the 33rd this year. They have the best 1-4 in the district (probably the region also). With Maines on the mound, they can beat anyone and I see Ross and Smiley coming up big this year. IMO this is Arlo's best shot to get that regional championship. But can they keep calm heads? Cooper is my other team to go to regionals from the 33rd. They have a ton of talent that has been on the varsity squad for 3 and 4 years. Dunn is a very good pitcher along with Collins and they have a good defense to back them up. But does Cooper have the hitting to stay with a Ryle or a Conner?
