How old is Avery? My son's AAU team played his AAU team twice this summer (both wins for the good guys)... and all parents kept saying the same thing... "he looks like a grown man... how old is he?"

If my son's HS team had a player like Spalding, I sure would like for him to be "showcased." Why wouldn't a coach want to feed their big man the ball for most of the shots? I also really do not understand the pervasive mentality that HS coaches shouldn't be criticized or held accountable for being a bad coach. I'm not saying the Trinity coach is bad... to be honest, I know nothing about him, but I see a lot of folks who don't think its OK to take a bad HS coach to task. Just because a guy has the title of "Head Coach" at the HS level does not mean they know what they are doing. I can point to some college and NBA coaches who are in over their heads, so you better believe that there are a fair share of HS coaches who are not getting the job done. Again, just to be clear, this is not directed at any one coach in particular... but rather, the attitude that a lot of fans have that HS coaches shouldn't be criticized, or better yet... HELD ACCOUNTABLE for the job they are paid to do.

After watching the Cru play CovCath the other night, and not handle the press so good, I think Holmes overwhelms them over the course of the game with fullcourt pressure. I also do not think the Cru has an answer for Beetle, while Holmes does have athletes that can handle Goetz and Kunstek on defense. I don't like the matchup for SH... Holmes by 20+

GRC and Dixie picked a heck of a time to play one another: • Dixie's offense is a work in progress right now (I'm really hoping the coaches get out and watch some other teams' offenses and get inspired) and GRC plays blue collar, in-your-face, aggressive defense... not a good recipe for Dixie tonight. • GRC (from what I gathered from Goldie's posts) has had some issues this year with rebounding the ball and Dixie is long and physical on the glass... not a good recipe for GRC tonight.
