I agree he was playing some pretty good ball towards the end of the season, and I believe that was a result of him realizing the role the team needed him to take on. Not the guy taking on 3 v. 1, forcing passes, firing up 18 footers etc. He became a facilitator, and a catalyst to the offense.

Yeah, obviously their conference was better last year. I was talking about this year in my original post. As I mentioned before This is a pointless discussion the UL fans will defend their schedule to the death citing the conference realignment as the reason. Which is fine, but the schedule still sucks. Can't wait for 12/31!

Here we go again... The old "well the middle of our conference is comparable to mid-SEC teams". Please, try to prove that.

The course of the season will prove that theory, unfortunately results will be skewed due to the lack of competition. I just want to see UL play big time football. If they win out we will see that at the end of the year.

I joke when I say the Reds, they just haven't been able to get over that hump. I credit them for fighting back, but all signs point to that WC game, unless the Nats have anything to say about that.

Towns, Ulis, and Johnson would be nice to see.

My logic was based off the fact that out of the teams that UL has played UK is the only team with an ounce of credibility, and they underperformed (which has been the general consensus on this board).

I also agree with an above poster in that Cal seems to be transitioning the recruiting philosophy with this class. Trying to add depth, and maybe not so much "right now" talent. Maybe he feels some guys will stick around after this season, who knows.

First, that was a small jab at someone from a previous thread, because the conversation escalated into a debate on the definition of "man handle" (in the sports realm of course). Second, you are fooling yourself if you think that the Cardinal team that rolled into Lexington could hang with FSU, UGA, A&M, and SC. If they could only hang 27 on UK's D, I think Manziel, Murray, Winston,and Shaw would be laughing hysterically while making it rain TD's.

As a fan and alum, yeah, naturally. My point was adding to Wireman's comment. After UL's display against UK, and A&M's performance against Bama I thought they would be ranked above UL. Then mentioned a few other teams I think could beat them, but that will all shake out over the course of the season.
