Exactly my point, you pointed out two kids for Adair. I pointed out a coach who was hoping and hollering around the Adair post game huddle during a prayer. That's why the coach from Adair said something. If Etown always wants to tout itself the "Home of State Champions" they need to act that way. That's why they have the reputation that they have among the other 5th region schools.

Domination on the scoreboard which is all that matters, but unofficially Adair had 7 more yards of total offense for the game 60 of that did come against 2nd string. Biggest question for me though is why eTown has an assistant coach on staff tells an Adair player to meet him in the parking lot. Not like a Mark Brown team.

Not sure if anyone is interested, but Adair Co.'s radio is available online at Home and also on the Tune In app on 93.5 WAIN. Not sure if Etown has radio coverage with the amount of teams in Hardin Co., but if so could someone please post.

Nice season opening win for the Indians. Score was not as close as it ended up with Adair having two costly fumbles inside the red zone and another called back on a penalty. The Indians appear to have lost wide out Cam Lasley with a collarbone following a TD catch in 2nd quarter but all in all a good win over a rival. Melton 5/8 passing for a little over 100 yds and a TD. Jordan Lasley was held off the scoring column but did have 115 or so on the ground.

Coach Mark Fudge tendered his resignation yesterday at Adair Co. He will continue to teach according to the press release. Any early names for this opening?

Really impressed with SW Defense. Adair couldn't take advantage of first half turnovers to change direction of game. Spartans took charge in 3rd and cruised. Wish Adair could have utilized QBs scrambling ability out of passing looks more often. Only way I don't see South coming out of the West is if they run up against a strong passing offense, because their front seven is legit, and I don't know if there is one in 3A west.

That "Target" is probably the fastest player on the field tonight. Don't let his size fool you. SW should win, like I predicted. They are a 5A school, but it would do me nothing better to see the Indians pull it out to shut up loudmouths quoting best defense in the state when their schedule is a cupcake. Adair has the highest scoring offense in 3A and 3rd in "the state", but rational people would see that it is a product of the schedule and not blowing smoke saying they can't be stopped.

Obviously johny, you're not familiar with the term "skill positions". Been around the Adair program for a long time, so I am aware of the age of their linebackers. Hope you're right on your prediction!!!!!

Looks like its going to be a wet track in Columbia Friday night for the defacto District Championship game for 3A R1D2 (although Monroe still has shot if S.W. wins and they defeat S.W. next week). Both teams come in undefeated, surprising considering South's graduation losses last season and the Indians lack of historical football credentials. For me, the Indians chance of winning is keeping the impact of SW's depth at a minimum with their no huddle offense, maintaining sustained scoring drives, and limiting SW big plays. The Indians are very young at their skill positions, however these kids have not learned how to lose. The cliche of waiting on a group to grow up is holding true as the Soph/Freshman group have had Columbia waiting since youth football days to see these boys suit up. All that said, my take is: South Warren 28 Adair Co. 21

No doubt SW is a handful. They should be, they are a 5A school in a 3A district. Best of luck to Roe. Hate to see the injuries. Always loved playing in Tville when I played too many years ago, their fans are some of my favorites. They follow their teams like few others, I think they could be in a chess tournament and would have a full house.

Great win for the Indians tonight. Exciting times in Columbia. With the skill players for Adair being all Sophs or Freshman (save the fullback) most here thought this season would be a stepping stone season, but the young'uns are stepping up and playing extremely well. Adair went up 14-0 on first two possessions of game and Answered both Monroe scores immediately. Forced and took advantage of a couple of turnovers. Looking forward to watching the Indians continue to grow and hopefully host their second playoff game in program history.

A couple of things that I have heard regarding the 5th Region. The central time zone schools (Hart, Caverna, Green, and Adair) would be moved to the 4th. The other, which to me caught me off guard, was that 17th district schools (North Hardin, John Hardin, Central Hardin, and Etown) going to the 3rd, with Fort Knox staying in the 5th and adding the Bullitt Co. schools in a new 17th district. Should be very interesting if any changes are made
