  1. Congrats to the Dirty Birds...BUT...I don't think I'd go as far as calling it a baseball school just yet. I think you're a few years away from that. I hear the baseball program is stacked for the next few years though. The football team would have to tank again this year, which would most likely get rid of BW and then that talk would pick up steam a little more. I do think the HHS football classes of 2019 & 2020 will be a very competitive group that will bring the winning ways back. You will see the contributions of some of those boys this year but IMO you won't see the full extent of it until 2018-2019 season. This is not news to the majority of the HHS faithful.

It will be interesting to see how HHS handles the next class realignment now that Dale is gone.

  2. Spicer made it very clear that was retaliation. He said in the "gaggle" that this was about not letting "false narratives get out there." In addition, the reporter who asked him why those outlets were not allowed said there was plenty of room for them.

It could not be any clearer.

So there was a little more room to invite more non-lib media outlets. There was still not enough room for all the media outlets that wanted into Spicers office. Its clear that the WH picks and lib media not happy.

So we have a EGO trip between the WH and lib media - go figure. Every media outlet still received the same update.

I found the title of the thread described as "Press Briefing" a little off since it was just a gaggle in the office of Spicer. Just wanted to clarify.

  4. This was a "press gaggle". An informal briefing in the press secretary's office. Not all media could fit in the office and some had to be left out. The media invited were to share the data with the ones who were not in the room. They all received the same written statement.

So the media not invited in were upset. Who gets to decide who gets in and who stays out? I am sure the left leaning media wants to make this decision so the right leaning media gets left out. The WH choose the latter and some are upset.

Since they all got the same statement and should have shared the data I see this as all about EGO.

  5. I am just glad the leaked true feelings and positions of HRC did not have to go thru the main street media filter.

if you want to misdirect the voters then do not put your true positions on the internet. Not smart.

Anyone who has a good understanding of the technology and has a desire can access your accounts. Ask Sara Palin and John Podesta. Both had someone get their passwords.

HRC had a personal server that was not secured by the government security and any number of countries or motivated people could have found access to the data.

Its also possible someone internal to the HRC organization that was unhappy shared data.

Hope some day they can find out and not just suppose or insinuate. However I believe its likely we will never get to the bottom of who is responsible for the leaks.

So at this point having a briefing by the Obama government to the EC that supported HRC is just more politicization of the process.

  6. My guess is we don't know much about Doss at all. So we don't really have anything to say until we find out more. That may not happen. And it's hard for the HHS fans to predict what this HHS team will do. I'd hope now that's its playoff time and they've seemed to make a few adjustments and seem to have the focus going in the right direction, they should win this game. But it's been hard to predict this season.

I would like to add, their play on the road has not been suspect.

  7. If it was so clear to Bluebird fans that these two years were going to be less talented teams, then it should have been just as clear to the coaches. I think the fair criticism that should be made is ... why didn't the Highlands coaches reduce the schedule difficulty during this current two year cycle?

They also could have stayed in Class 4A but easy is not their mind set. The law of averages says that future performance will improve and this year will make them stronger.

I expect that the next HHS home game will be played with a very large chip on the shoulders of the HHS players and nothing will be left on the field by either team. Cant wait for the game.

  8. Seeing the size and number of athletes compared to years past. Having the results of the games played at the Frosh and JV games. Seeing improvements being made by other teams in NKY.

Jumping up in class to 5A when, in the recent past the KHSAA would not allow teams to move up. Seeing the heavy 6A schedule against teams that could not wait to take there shot at HHS.

The law of averages. How hard it is to stay on top for so long without some lapse.

They cavalry may be coming but I am not sure we will see the run of playing in 8 state finals in 9 years and winning 7 of them.

  9. If you March out the birds remaining games and how they have played (copper good, cc bad, sc good, Ryle bad) then they should be on an up week for Cov Cath.

Played Cooper and SC at Home

    Played CC and Ryle away.

This year CCH is a home game for HHS. Not much room for error but its possible that HHS will win since they have home field advantage. I am sure it will be a very entertaining game.

HHS needs to make sure they do not look past Dixie. The Dixie game is a week before CCH and it is played at Dixie.

  10. I know right! After his Personal foul he walked off the field and then gave the White Board on the Sideline his best Knockout Punch. That was crazy!

The SC coach was able to get him to focus his energy on the field. When he got back in the game on offence he was very hard to bring down and scored at least one touch down after the outburst. He played harder and under control the rest of the game. This was the point were SC pulled away from HHS on the score board.

  11. Back to the game.

I saw one kid who needs to switch positions and could be an immediate impact player on either offensive/defensive line. If that doesn't happen (buy in from the kid) id hand that young man a clipboard and start developing other kids at the spot he plays.

One of Dale's many strengths was his ability to get players into positions and their buy in to help the team succeed. New coach needs to find a way to do the same.
