In case you are unware Elder has lost to Trinity(KY 6a State champ) ST Eds (Ohio D1 State champs) And Miami Central (Florida 6a State champs). Being a national power is not a year to year thing Meaning cause Elder has some loses they are not a national power. You a become national power when yearly you are one of the best teams in your state reguardless of class as well as when you reach the title game or win state noumerous times in your state. Also when you do play out of state powers you are competative in those games. BTW Trinity & Highlands always in most years matched up with out of state teams.

Make no mistake Highlands is still the clear favorite to win 4A or any other class except 6a and if you take away Trinity they'd even win 6a. They still have a realistic shot to be undefeated. I even think they can beat Elder at the Pitt" it won't be easy as the win will mean more for the panthers payoffs hopes. No offense to the other ky schools but Highlands and Trinity are the only two programs that can win verses the national powers of other States.

I happen to be from florida and I keep up with high school football nationally. from what I can see Trinity & Gaffney Sc are Co #1s at this point. Both Teams have simular offenes that can pass and run at will with shut down defenses. IMO rivals rankings are alot more accurate. STA, Allen & the rest of the top 10 are not far behind.

I have seen Trinity play as well as some of the other schools mention. Trinity has an allstar team right now. They would beat Mayfield, Beechwood, Danville, NCC & Highlands put together as an allstar team or any other combonation of KY schools. TRUST ME THEY"RE THAT GOOD! Just go see them play.
