  1. So, how do you setup the state tournament if the current way is the wrong way to go?
  2. Guess it's safe to say that when those big dogs up in that upper bracket win the whole thing that they can truly say they are Best of the Best, right?? They survived the gauntlet of superior teams from game 1 to the end. That's how I would want to prove I was the best, but I'm pretty competitive. As for those little pups or hopefully little paNDAs in the bottom bracket, I hope they remember that anything can happen at any given time. I personally remember a little ol' 7th grader in her first state tournament experience pitch her team to a W, in the losers bracket, over 3rd ranked OC & end their chances to repeat the previous years top dog award. As a wise, shiny headed man always says........."It's the reason they play the game"
  3. I'll be there for a cold beverage with ya!!
  4. WOW! What an ending to a pretty successful career of the big girl. Highlands kept me personally on edge from pitch #1 . Quillen made my stomach ache each time she was up to bat & pray she wasn't the recipient of any hits we got after that beautiful diving catch at the beginning of the game! She was on a senior mission & fun to watch. Also enjoyed watching Coffey & Graybill. Shelby, I know big girl apologized for the intentional walk...she absolutely HATES giving a free base to anyone...but at the same time, she is no fool Now RCC9 & LB, I can't imagine why you both will be glad not to see her next year!! +60-6 record against 9th region teams shouldn't warrant those feelings. I can tell you though, she will undoubtedly be in attendance cheering & motivating the paNDA girls every chance she can this time next season, so you will still have to see her! RCC & Highlands fans, not that you all want her advice....but one piece of insight that my girl reflected on after the semi-final win against Ryle & put her into 'right' mindset for Thursday's game...last year our girls walked into the championship game thinking they had that game in the bag. They were proven wrong. So they really had nothing to lose Thursday..like the Bluebirds last year. From a social media post that added some needed fire to the paNDAs early Thursday morning...seems Bluebirds went in as confident as our girls last year. Confidence is always good, but never forget that everyone can be beaten given the right situations. Yes, paNDAs overall are young & inexperienced, will need to tighten up their defense & continue to get those timely hits while down at state; however, if you think about what they have accomplished this season after filling SEVEN vacant spots....it's a pretty darn good finish, no matter what happens in Owensboro! Go paNDAs!!
  5. Such comedians we have!! Notre Dame is in Park Hills/Covington
  6. Nice play by Ware to double up the big girl!! Going to miss watching her play.
  7. Can't forget back to back home runs by Huston twins. Erica goes first with her first varsity HR scoring 2, I believe. Then Angela with solo walk off HR to seal the win for the paNDAs.
  8. It's safe to say that's a possibility in any position like that. Like a boss nominating for employee of year. It happens. But you would always hope that your coach is going to nominate those that have proven themselves for the nomination.
  9. Who do you propose they replace on 1st team or even 2nd team for the honorable mention
  10. I'm a little confused....are you all wanting awards based on position or who is overall "the best players" despite what position they may play? Or what if they are one of those utility players that are asked to play different positions & they do it well in each spot they are at? IMO I feel it should be based on overall ability no matter what position they play.
  11. Ahh!! Memory is slipping, I just remember Shelby.
  12. I assume Marc Hardin meant six year starter. She played varsity starting in 6th grade, but had regular starting spot in the 7th.
  13. "Gentle" is not what we use to describe her while she is competing...
  14. Your facial expression when you saw her barreling down at you remains etched in the ol' memory bank...still makes me giggle!!!
  15. Haylee Smith gets the win on senior night against her old team. She pitched a 3 hit shut out. Hope the Ryle player that got hurt during warm ups is okay.
  16. Since I won't be needing mine past this season, I was going to offer my remaining original batch for premium price to the Cru fans; however, come regional time...it may fetch a higher price Big girl gonna need some spending money next year in Evansville!!
  17. I wouldn't know even if he had walked directly in front of me. I am not the BGP officianado you are
  18. Katelyn Baker gets her third win of the season. Kennedy Baugh & Angela Huston continue with hot bats...Baugh goes 3-4 while Huston 3-5 with a 2-run HR. Great work in the field keeping our defense error free!
