Covington Catholic at 45, I kept scrolling down, thought I over looked them, I'm not even a Covington Catholic guy, but come on, that's crazy.
8/13 games against out of state opponents that would all be at or near the top of KY rankings and we treat them like middle of the road teams. This system is a mess

Big shoes to fill...Coach Wiggins did a heck of a job at BB.

I believe Holy Cross (Covington) girls did it in 2015, won both All A State Title and KHSAA Girls Basketball state title, but that is the only one I'm aware of on the girls side (but I could certainly be wrong).
Nicholas County pulled off the double in 1993.

I know this is in the Boys' forum, but the absolutely most egregious team on either list is Sacred Heart at #54 on the girls' side. If you play an out-of-state schedule, let alone one where virtually every team is ranked in the Top 25 nationally, the RPI is as far off-base as it can be. As evidenced by the best team in the state, and one of the better teams in the country, being 54th in their own state this far into the season.
You take about 50 of those teams...make an All-Star team, and they wouldn't beat Sacred Heart.

A Newport/Lyon County final would be a fun one to watch!
Unfortunately that would be a semifinals matchup.

This is one of those rules I definitely don't understand.

Nope 12-0 and have beat every team by 10+ and their average margin of victory through 12 games is 30 points per game.
They won't hit that average margin of victory tonight...gonna be a dandy.

Big win for the Camels. Brent Sowder is your early favorite for 10th Region Coach of the Year.
Mason County has some things to figure out, that's for sure.

Cov Cath falls to the #15 ranked team in Florida. That's the first time the Colonels have dropped two straight games since December of 2019 in their first and second games of the season.
My math says 138 games without back to back losses...impressive

This could be the best game of Day #2... I'll take the Knights by 6

I'll take the Lyons by 5.

Larue is solid, but I don't believe they can run ( no pun intended) with the Broncos.

All 4 Winner's Bracket games should be great ones

Fleming led for almost all of the 1st 3 quarters, then Washington Co took advantage with their size.
Commanders advance in the Championship bracket to face the host, LexCath at 6:00pm.
Panthers will take on LCA in a noon battle.

IF there's a team in the state that can hang with Sacred Heart, it's the Lady Cardinals.

This tournament is listed as the Traditional Bank Holiday Classic by some teams on Riherd's (yes, I know that's what it used to be called)

It's hard to tell how good they are this year, relative to last. They're currently ranked in the middle of the pack of their classification, which is a private school division of about 17-18 teams.
Also, we'll learn a lot about Fleming County with this week's Traditional Bank Holiday Classic. Washington County is a tough draw.

I think Lyon gets by DeSales.

In the Kenny Payne era, the Cards are 9-36 (2-20 ACC) with 24 double digit losses. There's no way you can let this continue another season.
