Randy's one of he good ones...was a fountain of support when I was at LC.

Congrats to my friend, Coach Sowder. We've had a lot of conversations about him getting his shot to be a Head Coach. So happy it's starting with a W... no rest for the weary, as Herald- Leader Preseason #14 GRC comes to Claryville on Friday night.

Wildcats move to 2-0 on the young season, placing 5 in double figures. Pendleton will open the home portion of their season Thursday night when Bracken County comes to the Woodshed. If you can't attend, you can watch FREE here. Extended Pregame Show will start around 6:30

Royals will be just fine. You won't have many nights where Blake will shoot 2/13.
Jake Feldhaus with 22 and 9 is a definite good sign.

So. Someone privately reached out to me. They tell me that my assesment of community support is wrong, that attendance was high this year, and a new stadium turf is in the works. So I retract my previous post. Could be a good chance!
They broke ground immediately for new turf (red).. and, as they mentioned, there is support for football in the community (stands are packed often). Talent level needs to meet excitement!

I don't think finding a job for the next Football coach is going to be the problem. I thinking finding a guy who wants to coach at Pendleton is going to be the issue.

Does the new coach have to teach physics? I would imagine Pendleton is like many other schools districts in Kentucky: they always have open jobs at the end of the year. And if you find a guy you really want, you can always make it work.
I was just stating that because it's not like a coach who teaches History, Spec Ed, etc. where replacing the guy who's leaving is easier. Like you said, if they want a guy, they'll find him a job.

Will be a tough one to fill. Petit is tenured as a teacher and the only one in the district qualified to teach Physics...doubt there's a lot of coaches that fit that bill. This program needs someone young and energetic to bring some life to it.

I have yet to use any vacation time this year, so I took a day off...bundled with holidays and a WFH day, I haven't been in the office for 6 days.

Two false starts against the best center in the game didn’t make it any easier. And the officials must really be emphasizing that this season because they were barely twitches.
Did they ever say why he went to the locker room right after that?

CovCath without services of any of the football guys...but I'll still take the Colonels by 8-10.

Here's your LCD betting tip of the day/week/year:
If I put a bet/parlay on here, do the exact opposite. My losing streak has become laughable at this point.

As of this morning at 11:20, the thought was it was either UC or Ole Miss.
Him committing to Kentucky might not seem like a surprise for those of you who don't follow recruiting but I can promise other coaching staffs were surprised with his decision when he made the call at 11:30 to let them know he was going elsewhere.
The UK insiders were even surprised with his decision.
I really thought we were the frontrunner. It hurt losing out on Perry.

Anyone got opinions on these matchups? Interested to hear a little more about the west ones.
The boys from Ludlow hold a special place in my heart, but I think the dream season ends here.

Polar Bears kept it close for most of the 1st quarter and held an 11-7 lead. PC went on a 15-2 run over the next several minutes. A trio of Wildcats logged double digits (Luke Gregg 16, Aden Merrill 14, Hunter Cox 11). Bracken's Noah Nelson led all scorers with 17. Pendleton's pressure caused several BC turnovers. I know it's early, but this Pendleton team is exceeding expectations so far.
As for things in Brooksville...it's gonna take some time.
