  1. Polar Bears kept it close for most of the 1st quarter and held an 11-7 lead.  PC went on a 15-2 run over the next several minutes.  A trio of Wildcats logged double digits (Luke Gregg 16, Aden Merrill 14, Hunter Cox 11).  Bracken's Noah Nelson led all scorers with 17.  Pendleton's pressure caused several BC turnovers.  I know it's early, but this Pendleton team is exceeding expectations so far.

As for things in Brooksville...it's gonna take some time.

So. Someone privately reached out to me. They tell me that my assesment of community support is wrong, that attendance was high this year, and a new stadium turf is in the works. So I retract my previous post. Could be a good chance!

They broke ground immediately for new turf (red).. and, as they mentioned, there is support for football in the community (stands are packed often).  Talent level needs to meet excitement!

Does the new coach have to teach physics? I would imagine Pendleton is like many other schools districts in Kentucky: they always have open jobs at the end of the year. And if you find a guy you really want, you can always make it work.

I was just stating that because it's not like a coach who teaches History, Spec Ed, etc. where replacing the guy who's leaving is easier.  Like you said, if they want a guy, they'll find him a job.

As of this morning at 11:20, the thought was it was either UC or Ole Miss.

Him committing to Kentucky might not seem like a surprise for those of you who don't follow recruiting but I can promise other coaching staffs were surprised with his decision when he made the call at 11:30 to let them know he was going elsewhere.

The UK insiders were even surprised with his decision.

I really thought we were the frontrunner. It hurt losing out on Perry.
