  1. What maybe a unfortunate injury to you is a real tragedy to Travis. As you know this ended his high school career. Something he will never get back.
  2. Best of luck to you Travis. Good luck at WKU
  3. I commend Coach Warner for sticking to the rule no matter the player or star status. I would say a rule as strict as this one would come from his days in pee wee football playing for Robert Napier and the Blackhawks. My son plays for Napier now and he has learned a tremendous amount about football and discipline. While I don't always agree with Napier's methods these kids learn a great deal about football from him. I played against Coach Warner in high school and always remember him as a class act and I would love for my son to play for him once he is in high school.
  4. Can these be purchased in advance? I called SK today and no one had a clue about tickets or if they would even have any to sell. If the other schools are selling them can you list the times they can be purchased? Thanks for any help
  5. Who will be the Simon Kenton starting qb next season?
  6. Just came back to this thread to see if anything was posted that I missed. I would like to clear something up I am not related to any player at any level in the basketball program.
  7. Have you ever witnessed or heard of a coach take the entire starting 5 out during a game that was still within reach and sit them the rest of the game?
  8. You are correct Eagle2013. It is sad to see fans walk out on these kids during the game. But unfortunately it happens in all sports too often.
  9. You are right, different regions but be serious this game was meaningless.
  10. EZ Living I respect your opinions. But really if there was a problem practice intensity why did he start 4 of his normal 5? All 5 would have started if Chambers was able to play. Like I said in another post sit them the rest of the quarter not the rest of the game.
  11. Sports guy you are right about being out hustled and rebounded. You teach a lesson by sitting them the rest of the quarter not 75% of the second half. During the Dixie game SK was down around the same amount of points as they were tonight and he coached them and they almost won. He quit on them tonight. I was at the game sitting around school employees and alumni several feel the same as I do.
  12. No I do not see them day in and day out in practice. Was you at the game tonight? Did you see how he sat on his butt almost the entire second half? He quit on the SK kids. I have never seen any coach do what he did to the SK team tonight. I understand taking them out to prove a point. But take the starters out for the last 12 minutes of the game and just sit on your butt? That's not coaching that's giving up on the team you are supposed to be coaching. Maybe this is why he has a loosing lifetime record.
  13. The kids on that team have too much class and pride to quit.
  14. Steiner should have walked up to Mr Marksberry tonight and quit. Just like he did on his team. Scott was going to win the game anyways but he sat on the bench and didnt even give it an effort. Taking the starters out half way through the third and not putting them back in was a BS move on his part. He took away any confidence these kids had gained from taking the best team in Nky down to the final seconds and quit on them. He gave up on the team and the the school. If he is not fired then he should do what he did to his team and give up coaching.
