You obviously do not know much about the 8th. Weak? Yes. Shelby as the only school?? I think they've won ONE game all year...Years past Anderson, Shelby and the Oldhams have been tough teams.

I'm not putting down either kid when I say this. Both kids are good ball players and get a lot done for their team..but I did not see Mcneil make hardly anything besides a free throw...yes he draws contact and gets to the line...but when he won't get those calls in the District Tournament when he creates the contact almost everytime.

I agree but tonights game they were not hacking. They do play physical and will have a lot of fouls called on them every game but tonight was not the case. The officials bailed out #22 for Walton multiple times IMO. The biggest difference tonight was ball movement. Past games their dribble drive offense looked like a weave around the perimeter due to bad spacing and poor angles to the basket. Tonight they pushed the ball into transition more and attacked the basket and created shots for each other.

Grant leads pretty much the entire game. Good ball movement and balanced scoring for the Braves. Anyone have the box score?

I think as the year goes along some of you might be shocked by Grant County's performance. A very young, small team that is well coached and plays very hard. Shelby is obviously down this year, but it's a very good win for GC. I see good things for this team by the end of the year.

What does Grant County need to do to improve in 2010/2011? What do they need to keep doing to be sucessful? Remember, please be constructive.

Underachieve? Wow. Just making it to the tournament is an accomplishment that any HS basketball player would want. Even with the talent SC had they did not underachieve.

I wouldn't say picked him up..He was bein double teamed..did not force it and found the open man.

Johnson is going to have to play very well.
