  1. I'm going out on a limb with an early prediction that Cole Boogs from East Carter and Joe Miller from Raceland will battle for 16th region player of the year 2012
  2. Cara is not our best player... most publicized, but def not our best Doc...
  3. Do not over look East Carter, promise you this is not the same squad of the past 2 or 3 years...
  4. The 16th is awful about posting their highlights
  5. Most impressive this year in the 16th? Bath County - C. Wright Greenup County - Matt Jones Boyd County -T. Salisbury Raceland - J. Miller Ashland - B. Certain East Carter - C. Robinson West Carter - D. Oney Russell - B. Boyd Rowan County - B. Huthinson Flemming County - R. Carpenter Any thoughts about this list or add ons/take aways?
  6. I hear a number of seniors have quit, not sure of why... My guess being with today's "now generation" if you sit a senior he will walk out on the team.
  7. I think the PA announcer is Bill Farley, athletic director & QB 1's dad.
  8. Farley threw 3 INT's. A stronger team may have capitalized on those Int's.
  9. Yes very sloppy game. Thank goodness for the lightning delay it allowed me run home and change from the rain storm I think both teams have a lot to improve on but it's a step in the right direction. I was really impressed with Evans (BC's QB) for a young fella, he showed he has a good arm and some quality ball fakes.
  10. I think that would be whole seperate thread, coupled with parents that hold their kids back for sports...:confused::confused: T-minus 6hrs till kick-off.:thumb:
  11. The boy they had kicking in the WC scrimage looked pretty good, too bad the exchange student wasn't 6'5, 295 benching 350 & squatting 500
  12. A German exchange student that has some soccer ability.
  13. I was wondering the same thing about Ashland's kicking game.
  14. Those three big plays came in the first half when their legs were fresh.
  15. I see your point, but your going to have the fumbles, penalties, and mental lapses in a game. GC was more than capable of walking away tonight with a win but once they were down the game was over there was no chance with that system of coming back. When GC plays Raceland and Raceland jumps out the gate throwing the ball and goes up 21- 0 can GC score in bunches (not likely) Take your Red Devils they are all about ball control and the run game, but push come to shove they will air it out and throw points up when needed.
  16. I just do not understand why GC has to run the darn wishbone? The wishbone is a great offense to teach Pop Warner kids, but it is absolute trash in high school or at higher levels. Just ask Army football how well the Bone works. Once GC was down with 4 + mins to go there was no way their grind it out O could put points up quick. Marsh had big runs in the first when he was fresh, but didn't see the break away late. Sorry I think the system failed tonight, the players played and the coaches coached, but the system was not what was needed to hand a very beatable Ashland the loss.
  17. Whoot Woo.... Game day, oh wait, dang it -- darn you Saturday kick off.
