  2. Me too! I be likin some junk in da trunk!
  3. I agree with you. It's the calling the law on this land owner that bothers me. He is within the law by hunting his own property. He is doing nothing illegal. Instead of talking to him first someone called the police. To him you just tried to put him in jail for nothing. If he was hard to get along with before you have just made things a lot worse. He may be doing it just because he can and is thumbing his nose at you for calling the police instead of talking to him first. Please don't get me wrong, I would not do what he did. It's the job of the parents to make sure their children don't trespass on other peoples property. The farmer isn't going to shoot at anyone or anything that is human. He knows where the line is and will make sure he doesn't shoot into it. Think about it.Don't freak out every time you hear a gun go off. If you don't look like a rabbit you won't get shot. If your kids don't look like rabbits and don't break the law by trespassing they will never be shot either. Stay on your property and you won't get hurt.
  4. Congrats Dale! Thanks for all you have done for the program! 20n10!
  5. Do the birds still use that same old smelly locker room that we had in the early 70s. I hope not. These boys deserve the best. Maybe with all this national exposure the birds can go first class all the way. Dale has the ability to take this program up another notch or two.
  6. Should have had homemade 3 ways. Wife cooks chili and pasta.Time to eat. No cheese. I try to be nice by saying thats OK baby I think it will be just fine without cheese. Put that fork in my mouth and nearly puked. I says is this meat rotten or what? Normally I would get my backside chewed off but she knew it was nasty and flushed it. Total bust.
  7. About 4" in N. Pendelton Co. The neighbor and I just shoveled 400' of steep gravel driveway.
  8. Fair enough. Sounds like you will be better off without him. I just wanted to share my own experience on this subject.
  9. 2.5" in N. Pendelton. Wifes fingernails are gone and fingertips are so bloody and swollen that she can't pick her nose. She asked me to help her out. Going out to the truck to get her some needlenose pliers.:ohbrother:
  10. Putting up with sickening soap operas. Wife called in and I'm trying to be nice. Staying on here to avoid eye contact with TV. Where is that piano player? Just hearing this puke is driving me nuts. Ready to put TV out of its misery. How can people be so easily amused. Shoot me please!
  11. About 2" in N. Pendelton Co. steady but light snow. My wife has chewed her fingernails to the bone and is going to call in sick I bet.
  12. Out here it causes a commotion to. All the neighbors and friends come over to congratulate the lucky hunter and they want to hear all about it. My next door neighbors boys offer to gut and skin him for practice. We break out the homemade wine and have a good ole time.
  13. I am devastated by this shameful loss and feel I need to go to a dark place and hurt myself.
  14. As long as you don't wear your easter bunny suit you should be OK.
  15. If the kids don't look like deer or rabbits they should not have a problem. Wildlife generally don't live in peoples houses or run there for safety and houses don't look like wildlife either so you and the kids are probably in good shape. It's been my experience that when new people call the police on hunters they almost always say the hunter pointed his gun at the house and this is usually a lie and the rural police know it. Sorry if this isn't what you wanted to hear but I felt the need to defend ethical, safe hunters who don't aim at people.
  16. If people move into a rural area they need to conform to the law as it is written in that area or don't live there. Its just that simple. No one is saying that guns should be fired down the street or used in a unsafe manner. My neighbors hunt rabbits and squirrels in my front and back yard. I can see them in tree stands from anywhere on my place. Houses up here are 200 to 400 ft. apart so we are pretty close to each other. But no one feels a need to call the law because we all do it and no one gets alarmed when they hear a shot because we know there is no danger. We wait by the phone to see if they got the big one! I've always said , why move to the country just to live on top of each other, you can do that in town and save a lot of gas money. We live out here to escape the liberal attitudes of city dwellers and have the ability to walk out our door and hunt or fish. So if you don't like what we do, stay in town but don't try to ruin it for the rest of us. Did you think about confronting these people face to face and come to and agreement before calling the police. Thats the way we do it out here.
  17. County market in Alexandria. She said it was a mad house. Some little old lady got stabbed over a loaf of bread. Parents were eating their young,oh the humanity!
  18. Barely spitting a little snow in N. Pendelton Co. I have a hyper Beagle puppy who has never seen much snow. Looking forward to seeing her reaction. Have a wife that is 52 years old and the White Death still terrifies her. She bought enough food to last the winter so at least we won't starve to death.
  19. What if these Texas boys have never seen snow. Maybe they would panic like my wife does.
