NEW MONTGOMERY BASEBALL COACH
Is it you?
-
Frustrating, but predictable to see Dusty's use of Frazier. I feel for the guy.
-
I was grateful to see them play in Rupp last year. They were fun to watch.
I've been a Hicks fan since he was a freshman. I hope he shines this upcoming season.
I was one of many that jumped on the Hicks bandwagon with his 30-point performance at Rupp his Freshman year. I hope he shines this year as well.
-
I hope we all recognize how phenomenal that Trinity team was last year. Hicks was the 3rd or 4th scoring option on that team and he has offers from 3 power conference schools and 2 mid-majors.
-
Most will say Harper, because he's the one the media (ESPN) has a love affair with, but Trout is simply the better more complete player.
This.
-
To me the all time what if question for Cincy is what if Griffey Jr decided to take roids when Bonds did? Would he have hit 800+ homers? Would Dunn, Kearns and others followed his lead? Would they have won at a way bigger clip?
Their pitchers would have had to follow suit and 'roided up for Cincy to win at a way bigger clip.

So far this season:
Mike Trout- .333, 6 Home Runs, 26 RBI, 16 SB
Bryce Harper- .302, 7 Home Runs, 19 RBI, 4 SB
-
If you had to pick between Mike Trout or Bryce Harper today to build your team around, who would you pick? This question was asked on Pardon The Interruption a few days ago, and I'm curious who everyone else would go with.
I would choose Mike Trout.
-
IMO it's between Adam Dunn and Johan Santana at this point. There's a lot of season left though.

It will be a crime if Paul Konerko doesn't make the All-Star game.
-
Mets are white-hot right now. Nice to catch them without their two aces going, while the Reds will be throwing their 3 most consistent hurlers.
It sure is nice to finally use the words "Homer Bailey" and "consistent" in the same sentence.
-
Can you imagine a Votto and Cueto-less 2012 Reds team? Ouch.
-
Woodford County's ace Clinton Hollon is a 2013 commit to UK, but there's a very good chance he'll forgo college. He's a stud.
-
Bourbon County Senior Pitcher Chase Mullins, a UK signee, was drafted in the 24th round of the 2012 MLB draft by the Texas Rangers.
Congratulations to Chase, and for UK's sake, I hope he doesn't pass on college. Mullins threw a no-hitter in Bourbon County's 2-1 loss to Harrison County in the Regional Semi-finals last week. He is listed at 6'9. He's probably closer to 6'7, but nonetheless, he's a big kid, with an even bigger arm.
-
Congrats to the Stangs on representing the 10th Region and Northern Kentucky well. Keep it rolling!
-
Martin is a kid that's a high d1 pitcher and a low draft pick. Why hurt his arm after throwing 80 pitches 2 days ago??? You all are crazy for thinking he was going to pitch!!
I think most people assumed he would pitch. I talked to his dad at their semi-final game and he said that as long as his arm felt okay, he would be on the mound. Obviously his arm didn't feel okay, but the plan was to pitch him against Brossart.
-
This is far from a great hire. Cravens is an okay coach at best but the best part about this is that Keaton is coming back. Hopefully, for you PC supporters, this is a short term hire and Keaton will take over soon.
We don't really know what kind of hire Cravens will be. We haven't seen him coach boys basketball in a while. I'd at least give him a shot before I dismiss him as a poor coach.
That being said, I do believe that in the future, Keaton Belcher will be the head coach at Pendleton County. And I believe he will be a successful coach for many years. But let's see what Cravens can do before we go there.

Aroldis Chapman's season: 84 outs registered, 0 earned runs, 50 strikeouts, 7 hits allowed. Aroldis Chapman Game By Game Stats and Performance - Cincinnati Reds - ESPN
50 K's out of 84 outs registered is just phenomenal.
-
If nothing else, Pendleton will be very exciting to watch next year. Coach Cravens is running an extremely fast-paced offense, and a constant run and jump defense. This should benefit Mason Monroe, and PC should put up a lot of points next year.
-
I only see three players that played KBC Allstarwinner. Jordan Nester got votes as a pitcher and 3rd baseman but just missed out. That was the only other player from Montgomery County that got votes. Thank You for your input.
I think you threw him off by saying "KBC took all the teams from the 10th Region and put them together.." I assume you meant KBS, hence your user name.
-
Tyler Daugherty was another solid pitcher for Pendleton County, he went 7-2 this year including a 3-2 win @ Pulaski County in 9 innings. He should have a nice year next year as a senior for the Cats.
He did have a nice year. He's playing with Bluegrass Baseball Club again this summer. Hope he can make as big of a jump from Junior to Senior year that he did from Sophomore to Junior year.
-
These are the kids that i have seen pitch sir sounds like to me he should be on there i just never got the chance to see him throw this season.
I understand. Impossible to see every team in the Region. Just wanted to throw out another worthy candidate.
-
Maybe Clark County can have Taylor's little brother Drew play at the Y for the next three years, then bring him in to start on a State Tournament team his Senior year.

We all said he should be our everyday 3rd baseman right?
