Assuming that Campbell for Nicholas County pitches against Mason and Nicholas County wins and then Mynear pitches against the Scott,Bourbon winner, Nicholas County has a chance to play in the championship game.

Bourbon County and Scott High can both crush the ball. It's the postseason so anything can happen, but I'd consider this a mjor upset if Nicholas did beat the winner of that game.

Upset? Scott is legitimate Title contender and the 1 seed with Bourbon a 2, and I don't see any trouble until championship for the host team.

Very true. Record-wise it would seem like an upset. But when you compare Scott's schedule and Bourbon County's schedule, I'd consider Scott the favorite in this game

Two years in a row now that Nicholas County has drawn Mason County. Two years in a row I'd say they got exactly the draw they were hoping for. No offense to Mason County, but when it comes down to them, Clark County or Campbell County..

Clark vs.Campbell and Scott vs. Bourbon should be very good first round games too though

Well we said Newport enjoyed playing spoiler. Looks like they almost did it again, and without Shawn Klass, their best player.

Pitching failed GRC in both games and that was a theme during the regular season. The two games this postseason have been completely different. Im telling you now, if GRC gets solid pitching they will be a tough out. :thumb:

Very true. Either way, Scott or Campbell County would be a very trough first round draw for Harrison County.

As said, NCC is the big favorite in this one, but Newport is a solid team. Is Klass is on the mound, which I assume he will be, then Newport could absolutely surprise the region and win this one. Remember, they did it a couple years ago by winning the District when they "didn't have a chance".

I know Shawn Klass from Newport is something like 5-1 and is hitting in the high .400's. He can change a game. Anyone know if he's pitching?

I would assume most everyone would go with Harrison, including me. From what I've seen Campbell County and Scot are really the only teams that could challenge Harrison.

One heck of a high school career for Patrick Johnson. Pendleton just blew too many opportunities in this game. I can think of three times off the top of my head that Johnson and Valentine left runners in scoring position this game, which is something they haven't done all year. Great game though.
