Congrats to the new-look Devils!
Why was the only school in Robertson County named Deming in the first place?

Montgomery County is a different team without Wallace. However, I'm still taking the Indians by 8.
As a side note, I read in an earlier thread that Hobie Hall was one of the players suspended for Montgomery County. I was under the impression he quit during their game at Pendleton County. So, he is back on the team?

I like NCC in a particularly low-scoring affair, even by Brossart standards.

I know it may not be Northern Kentucky proper but a kid that deserves mention is Aaron Gibson of Pendleton County. Very quick guard who has a knack for just making big plays.
I was going to mention Gibson if someone else hadn't already. He definitely deserves some pub for his aforementioned quick hands and knack for making big plays.

Looks like we'll get to look forward to another great 38th district tournament matchup between these two. Hopefully it's in the championship game.

Pendleton County Senior Guard Garrett Appleman missed this game and is out until further information can be determined about a heart condition. Keep him in your thoughts.

First time I have seen the Monroe boy play. He hit several 3pointers and hit at least 6 free throws in the final 2 minutes. Lost track of the total number of 3 pointers PC hit, at least a dozen. Number 12 for PC has some quick hands.
Number 12 is Aaron Gibson. He one of those kids that plays the game as hard as you wish everyone would. Underrated player in the 10th Region.

Teegarden did a great job of recruiting non-football athletes to play football at Pendleton County, especially his last year.
This is a good hire for Brossart.

Final from Alexandria.

Harrison County by 15.

He went from a starter to 6th man, to not getting in a lot at all. I think him and happy fell out.
It appeared someone got up from the Montgomery County bench Friday in the middle of the game, took his jersey off, and left out the front door to the gymnasium. It was a strange, subtle scene. The only reason I saw it was because I was sitting directly behind the Montgomery County bench. Was this Hall?

Harrison County by 7 if it's in Winchester. Harrison County by 13 if it's in Cynthiana.
If GRC plays man to man, it may be a long night for the Cards.

Did anybody play defense?
The score indicates a pretty good defensive effort from both teams.
-
Was that the one where Darius Jones came flying at him & He switched the ball from his left hand to his right hand and nailed the floater?
That move made me say wow!
Yes. The finish with his off-hand was just as pretty as the move he made to get to that point.

Two 5 points losses in a row for Bracken County to good Pendleton and Harrison teams. Looks like Bracken may be coming around.

Pendleton pulled close several times in this game, but just couldn't get over the hump. I saw a lot of positives last night though. Good crowd in Falmouth for alumni night.
Omar Prewitt is very good, but we already knew that. He has improved a lot from last year, especially defensively. He is patient when blocking shots, rarely biting on shot fakes, and usually blocking the shot after it's left the shooters hand. He had to have at least 6 blocks last night.
I've been watching Mason Monroe for over 10 years now, and he still does things that make my jaw drop. In the fourth quarter for instance, he had a crossover that broke Prewitt's ankles, then promptly finished with a tough 10 foot floater. No one even cheered. The whole crowd seemed to be in silent awe.
It will take someone's best shot to keep Montgomery County from going to Rupp Arena this year.

This isn't a good loss for Mason County. Boone County is a team they should beat.

Ouch. Nice win for NCC.

Hard to bet against Pendleton County in the 38th District Tournament. Chad Simms always seemed to have a few rabbit to pull out of his sleeve for this time of year. Hopefully Coach Cravens can do the same.
I like Pendleton County by 6.
